TFA VBIC vs. TFA Vanilla Custard

I received both in a recent order and they seem almost identical. They both have the same exact color and smell, but I haven't mixed with the vanilla custard yet so I can't comment on how the taste is. My question is, are they supposed to resemble each other? I'll be kinda bummed if they have the same taste lol

Way way way different. Both need some aging for best results. Both are excellent.

I'm gonna mix some test batches later. I just got them in the mail a few minutes ago so ibhavent had much time to toy with them lol

I like the VC at 5%, with 1% tfa French vanilla. If you like sweet custards, you'll be happy...

I wouldn't be too surprised if a flavor designed to taste like vanilla flavored custard and a flavor designed to taste like vanilla flavored custard that's been frozen and whipped smell like each other.

That being said, testing a flavor means testing it, sniffing it in it's concentrated form isn't going you any useful information.

Slightly tangent but not worth starting a new thread for, I just got a new order in and I got some Cap vanilla custard, I really like TFA and thought I still had some left but now realise I'm all out, how does the Cap compare? I've just mixed some but haven't tried it yet just wondering on your opinions.

Thanks this makes me feel more confident using it, I mixed a load of batches and probably won't get round to trying it until tomorrow, then I'll give it a weeks steep

Cap is a sweeter custard whereas TFA has a bit of the spice that commonly accompanies a real custard.

They're both great especially when mixed together.
