I've been struggling to make a decent recipe which includes TFA Raspberry. It seems to just taste very artificial, even "medicine-y", even at fairly low concentrations.
For example, my latest try was a simple creamy vanilla raspberry recipe (8% TFA Vanilla Swirl, 4% TFA Raspberry, 3% TFA Bavarian Cream). It got a little bit better after 5 days of steeping, but still not very good at all.
Any tips on using this flavor? I'm thinking about mixing in a little bit of TFA Berry Crunch and/or TFA Strawberry (Ripe). Not enough to overpower the raspberry, just a little bit which I hope will round things out and get rid of some of the weird artificial flavor I'm getting.
To me TFA Raspberry is shit, however TFA Raspberry (sweet) is THE shit.
That was the first raspberry flavor I tried and I hated it. I can vouch for TFA Sweet Raspberry, INW Raspbery and FA Raspberry.
How do the other two compare with INW rasp? I wasn't too keen on it, but I don't want to give up on raspberry.
I actually really liked it, at high concentrations it has a really noticeable tang to it, which is what I love about raspberries. 12% TFA raspberry, 3% TFA bavarian cream, smashed through that mix. In fact I've found it's generally good to accentuate other flavours. For example 4:3:2:<1 ratio of blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, key lime, all TFA was another constant vape for me. Without the raspberry, the blueberry and strawberry meld together, and the key lime tastes sugary, like a lime-flavoured sweet. The tang seems to help separate and embolden each flavour.
I am generally agreeable with all flavours though, it seems most people aren't a fan of this one. More for me!
TFA Raspberry is bad. TFA Raspberry(Sweet) tastes like a raspberry grenadine as it has lots of sweetness. INW Raspberry is sweet but not as much, and also tart with a good complex finish that tastes like the skin of the berry. FA Raspberry is the least sweet, with a strong but somewhat flat flavor. Basically any other raspberry than the one you picked would work better at 1% to 3% depending on brand; I'd also lower the vanilla swirl to ~5%
