alright so i was trying to bake some pandan cake a few days back and when i took out my pandan flavouring, i saw that the ingredients were pandan flavour, PG and some water, and i thought 'hey i could actually try and make some juice out of this!'
So i went ahead, did some mixing and let it steep a couple of days and surprisingly it does taste pretty good!
I'll be the first to admit i'm no expert mixer and i've only been into DIY for like a couple of months, but I figured why not share this. for all I know one of you could love pandan as much as I do!

I mixed it at 5% pandan flavour 1% TFA Cheesecake (graham crust) 1% CAP Vanilla custard

Had it at an asian supermarket the other day, hard to describe as its pretty unique flavor within itself without close comparisons. It is very sweet though.
A lot of people suggest pairing it with coconut, so maybe try throwing in a little coconut flavoring? FLV has some pretty banging coconut flavors.
Sadly, I am often fooled by packages of green tea cookies/cakes at the supermarket (until I read the text). It's like they are impersonating pandan... because it's the now predominant asian treat that features a bright green color. The taste is not similar... but often they look the same.
I feel like I would like green tea cakes, but I dye my hair with indigo powder which smells exactly like the taste of green tea cake, so whenever I've eaten green tea cake it just makes me think of my hair dye.
Well, I am excited about this, because I love pandan, and my bottle of flavoring (for cooking) is vivid green. I will keep an eye out for a brand without coloring. I second the addition of coconut. Not enough to overwhelm, but a hint of it should hopefully just round out the flavour. As for describing the flavor-- i think of it as a slightly coconutty grassy aromatic. It tastes green, fresh and fragrant, in a warm, tropical way. Sorry that sounds vague...
I've never had it but I heard once that it tastes like Christmas trees? Is that a good comparison?
Um, no. At least not just the pine part. I'd say, in a way, if you took eggnog, christmas wreaths, grandma's shortbread, pannetone, mandarin orange/satsumas, fruitcake [well, maybe not fruitcake]... and blenderized them.. but maybe it is a bit piney crossed with pineapple, or pineapple and freshly mowed lawn. It's really hard to describe. It's tropical and kind of botanical [like grass or tree]. It's like trying to describe banana... where do you start? [that's kind of not rhetorical, I think it's a fun exercise to try].
