I've been working on a buttermilk pancake recipe for a couple weeks now. My first attempt had waaayyy too much syrup and overpowered the rest of the favor. I think I'm almost close but don't exactly know where to go from here:
Ina biscuit - 3% Cap pancake syrup - 4% Tfa Bavarian cream - 3%
I prefer my mixes at 50/50.
I'm thinking I'm gonna up the biscuit and Bavarian cream to 5% and 4% respectively but would like to get your guys' opinions first. I also want to be able to later add fruit and I don't want to overdo it on the flavors.
I've never seen Biscuit mixed that high, but I also have a sensitivity to one of the compounds in it so I may just be cringing from personal exp :). It sucks, I can only mix it at .5% if at all.
How do you like the pancake conc? Is it a mixture of cooked pancake and maple syrup? Possibly could try some CAP Cake Batter or FW Cake (Yellow) in threshold amount to give it more body without going HAM on the Acetyl Pyrazine that INW Biscuit contains?
Just floating ideas, as I haven't mixed with all the concs at play here!
I didn't think biscuit would be that strong of a flavor and a lot of people on elr used single recipe mixes if it around that high if not bought higher. It tastes alright, very far from bad. I can taste the individual flavors but they don't quite taste like pancakes. Adding cake batter with a bit of biscuit might work. I'm Gonna try that as well.
I wasn't saying 5% was too much per se, just that I had never seen it that high after browsing recipes for 6 months or so. It could totally work :)
Ecig express has a pancake flavor. Maybe u might wanna try that. I can't imagine vaping 3% biscuit. I personally like maple syrup by fa. But u only need about 0.5% of that .
I know a pancake flavour exists but I don't have it and was just writing with what I have. I knew as an added flavor though, most people use biscuit quite low but on elr for single recipe flavors of just biscuit, 3% seemed about average and I wanted it as a main flavor instead of a complementing one. Another comment said the syrup could be dialed back just as low. I'll try that tonight with much lower concentrations if each flavor.
