I have been getting mad cases of vaper's tongue recently and I am wondering if anybody has researched/experimented with this. Would lowering the percentages of juice added minimize the effects or duration of this dreaded condition? Or possibly any other tips on how to enjoy my favorite mixes without vaper's tongue?
For me, yes. Vaping juices with total flavoring %'s above 15-20 gives me vaper's tongue if I vape a particular juice for too long. Make sure you're drinking enough water. Also, look up some palate cleaners. For me, drinking hot tea with lemon helps with vapers tongue.
Running my coils too hot tends to do it for me I notice myself upping the heat at different parts of the day to meet the level of sensitivity I'm at which makes things worse in the long run. Also certain astringent flavors can be extra drying. Anything with nuts or terpenoids.
I have to take a break from some of my ADV's. I always have 6-7 recipes in my rotation so I always have something to fall back on. I started oil pulling a few months ago and I find that it really does help with vapers tongue. That and staying hydrated helps too. Check this article out about oil pulling i use coconut oil it works wonders.
PSA: Oil pulling might very well work as a palate cleanser, but take any perported health claims with a big fat grain of salt.
