As we are all aware, there are an absolute glut of cream/dairy/custard flavors available from any and all flavor manufacturers. I see a lot of times where one is suggested over another, and usually with good reason. I thought it would be an excellent idea to put all of them on a scale with maybe TFA Dairy/Milk on the low end (milky, slightly sour) and the most eggy, creamy, diacetyl-filled custard on the other side (TPA French Vanilla Deluxe)?
Before undertaking this, it'd probably be pretty important to have a measure or two of what we're looking for:
- Vanilla Content
- Eggy or Creamy?
- Sweetness
Is this even possible? Are there too many variables to put them on a single scale?
Any input is appreciated, I'm just trying to make some sort of easy tool for "What cream/custard do I put in when my goal is X?"
EDIT:
##DOES ANYONE HAVE A PAID SURVEY MONKEY ACCOUNT?##
Not including OOO flavors, there's 48 flavor results. Without a paid account, I cannot host a survey this size. If it comes to it, I will pay for one month of Pro ($26 USD) for 30 days, hoping we can spread this survey through DIY, ECR, and ECF. As many responses as we can get in that timeframe will hopefully give us the data we want.
EDIT2:
EDIT3:
The list! I'm thinking of starting a SurveyMonkey to list each flavor as a question, and then sub questions would be "Vanilla 0-3, Creamy 0-3, Milky 0-3, etc" and an option to say "I have never used this flavor."

I love this idea! Like a Custard "Flavor Bible". It'd be nice if people could add in specific "affinities" too!
This would be very useful to have. I love the graphs you added in your edit.
There would need to be a lot of input from a huge number of diy'ers to make it accurate.
A shared database would be easiest, but could be easily manipulated. I can't think of a reason why someone would want to, though.
Perhaps a complex survey would yield great results to compile for a db, but getting a large number of submissions could be vexing.
I'm just rambling here but I really like this idea and hope you are able to do something with it.
I have no idea how to do it, but I support this idea to the fullest. It would be super helpful
Well, lets get the ball rolling with a list of all the creams we can think of. Then we can start splitting them out. :)

Vaping zone or bakers flavors has a few as well. Cream, cream Charlotte, cream liquor, cream brulee, and caramel cream puff. What about flavorwest? This is gonna be a task!
Do they make their own flavors, or blend flavors using other manufacturers? I'm even hesitant to include OOO because I'm fairy certain some of their stuff is just concentrated FW.
Vapingzone is bakers flavors. They order them from russia which takes about 2.5 months to get and yes I know this from experience. They're flavors are highly concentrated, almost like medicine flower. They're cream flavors are amazing and some of them u can use just drops to taste the effect. Especially the cream Charlotte!
Good idea , only problem is for one person something can taste very sweet and to another not sweet enough but i say do it anyway .
Will help nonetheless.
Taste is definitely subjective. Creams are weird too. Any cereal w/ milk flavor I've ever tried from a vendor tastes like spoiled milk to me and also my friend. I've managed to make some cereal vapes that were tasty, so it definitely isn't all 'milks' for my tongue that are terrible.
I absolutely love this idea! Just as a thought, any reason you prefer survey monkey over, say, Google Forms or another free platform? You get a nice spreadsheet export with Forms.
I don't have a lot of experience with the different flavours, but I do love data, so I'll be checking back here to see how it's going!
I think Google Form Publisher should do the job sufficiently.
edit. Spoke too soon, it only offers simplistic layouts. Survey Monkey has an awesome MATRIX OF DROPDOWN MENUS feature but it's on Pro.
Has this idea gotten any traction? I would really like some advice on what cream flavor to get!
I'm searching for a better survey site, and kind of on hiatus for the holidays. I can recommend this guide in the meantime:
