Any custard lovers here?
submitted almost 10 years ago by alexvladv

Hey guys, I recently bought a banana custard + vanilla custard juice from Creme de la creme( gambino ) and I can't get enough of them, but since I vape quite a lot I was thinking of mixing my own and I was wondering if anyone is able to point me in the right direction, what's a good custard/banana/vanilla concentrate? Does anyone have a good recipe for any banana/vanila custard? Tried to look some up but since I am kinda new to vaping I might not look in the right places. Cheers from UK.

Check out my two banana recipes, & get the 3 bananas I use. I don't suggest TFA Banana Cream because it has a weird taste to it, & I feel like it burns at higher wattages.

Holy Vanilla & FLVs vanilla custard are amazing.

Have you tried my bourbon bread recipe? The banana cream comes out perfectly without that weird flavor in it. If you haven't you should definitely make it. It's in the contest thread.

No, & I saw whatever variation you were working on before that in another thread. I've really wanted to, actually, but I know I'm missing 2-3 things, like the bourbon. I've got a list going of stuff I'll be picking up soon, when I can. Trying to save for a new bike...I need a new chain, my current one is fucking destroying my rear sprocket. Fuck replacing any thing else on this suzuki deathtrap.

You can try.

  • Vanilla Custard v1(Cap) 3%
  • Grahm Cracker (Cap) 1%
  • Banana Cream (LA) 5%
  • Cream Freah (FA)- 2%
  • Marshmallow (FA) or (Cap) 1% or Toasted Marshmallow

FA custard is great as well. I agree on LA Banana cream(vaped way too much when I started mixing that I have not touched Banana in over a year but it was one of the best bananas I had found) and Cap VC1. I also use fresh cream FA. Malted milk TFA and CAP sugar cookie or FA cookie are also great in a custard. I am not a fan of Dulce de leche but it is also a popular addition.

Can't seem to find the LA banana cream :/

I used TPA banana cream when out of LA. I found it worked just fine. I would agree with the other response and get a few bananas to find the one that you like. What my wife liked about the LA Banana Cream is the candy banana flavor. She likened the recipe to MOJO candies. http://imgur.com/Qtw5f03.

You can get NudeNics Banana Cream (Pie) there's no pie or crust to it, it's just banana cream.

Its a slightly different profile tho, it's more of a realistic banana while LA is a candied banana.

TBDLiquids also sells 4oz sizes of LA Banana Cream Colorless for pretty cheap.

I got some Banana Cream Pie with my NN starter kit. It smells perfumy to me. Does it need to steep?

/u/alexladv as you're in the UK, Chefs Vapour have a range of concentrates called Laurens - these are re-bottled LA.

Hey, I've seen Chefs Vapour after I placed my order somewhere else, but I got premixed base from them but it's good to know that I can buy LA from them, thanks.

What percentage for the malted milk , never seen it listed in a custard recipe .

Thanks

In a custard I use .5% but I have seen 1% and higher. TPA malted Milk. I tried it as an alternative to Dulce de leche which I do not care for.

I don't like the DDL either , didn't think about substituting the MM for it.

Thanks

Heres my ADV I think this will be right up your alley.

  • Banana (FA) 1.5%

  • Banana Cream (LA) 5%

  • Cookie (FA) 1%

  • Joy (FA) .5%

  • Vanilla Custard v1 (Cap) 2.5%

That sounds delicious!

My ADV, I've let some others try it and they say it's like banana cream pie. Try replacing the vanilla bean ice cream with custard if you'd like and let me know how it turns out! Or maybe just add a couple percent of whatever van custard you have? Always looking for improvements!

Creme Freshe

Ingredient|% :---|---: Cake (Yellow) (FW)|1 DX Banana Cream (TPA)|3 DX Bavarian Cream (TPA)|3 Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA)|4

Flavor total: 11%

Decent shake and vape but blends well with some steep time like you'd expect.

How long do you usually steep it for?

1 points

by romellrmalmost 10 years ago

Usually throw it in the closet steep spot for at least a week or so!

Capellas vanilla custard v1 and TFA vanilla custard. For banana my personal favorite is TFA banana ripe used very sparingly.

Sorry for format, on mobile. But TFA Banana Cream 6% + TFA Strawberry Ripe 4% has been my go to lately. Great right off Rip but really mellows out after a few days and gets more creamy.

I've tried Strawberry from a few vendors, not really my thing, but a mix with banana might be interesting. Is there any place where I can get pre mixed base? looking for 70-30 VG with 6mg of nicotine, so far I've been buying from fsecig, but they only sell 100ml bottles.
