New clone site?
submitted almost 10 years ago by beerawk

Been out of the loop for a bit, someone posted this on a reply in one of my old threads. Thoughts? I'm low on flavors so I can't mix much at the moment. If anyone wants to give one or two a go post back how they turn out.

Pascal are you the owner of the site? I love it, and is full of nice features but:

  • the new black ground is worst than the previous white one, easier to read before
  • the search option no longer works, this was really useful to look for flavours, etc

Probably hit and miss.

I went through all their recipes a while back to add anything interesting to my 'recipe book'. Seems most (all?) the recipes have been plucked from other sources, including this sub. Creators have been noted on the pages so that's something, but a link back to the actual recipe would have been nice as the discussion is sometimes more important than the recipe itself.

Thanks for the link, as someone who's debating DIY, sites like this are helpful.

I have no skills as a chef, but I'm very very good at following recipes, and I have some basic, but solid technique. The only reason I'd be doing DIY juice is to make clones and save myself money. I just haven't been able to find recipes for my current ADV flavors. I know I don't have the skill to even attempt to clone them myself.

What the heck are "The Hype Juices" or THJ flavors that some recipes have? Are these rebranded?

The are rebranded Russia Gourmet flavors & super concentrated flavors from china ;-) The shop who sell those call 'em The hype juices.

The milk and honey are just a bunch of my failed attempts (along with some other ecf people). Seems like they are just compiling from different forums.
