So as I kept getting deeper into DIY, I started to fall in love with the stronger concentrates. FA is too notch, but flavorah and inawara, man, those are the shit to say the least. I was curious about medicine flower, I read that their non diluted flavors may be as strong as .3-.8% for a main note. That's nuts! So if they're that potent, I'm sure the flavor is absolutely on point. I wanted to see what you guys thought of some of their flavors and how much you use. I'm especially curious about raspberry, blueberry, blackberry and strawberry. As I am a massive fan of those. I already have a lot of those flavors an entire tub just for berries, I think I have somewhere between 40-50. Anyways, thanks in advance. Hope you guys had a good and safe weekend!
so...And I'm kind of afraid to ask. Is this another brand I need to look into carrying on GremlinDIY? $22 for a 15ml bottle is really steep, but if they are that good, I'm OK with it. (I'll have to order myself a few bottles to play with for my collection if nothing else)
Honestly, I'm not sure. Maybe you could dilute them (and sell them for an equivalent price of course)? I'm kind of fine where im at for flavors. But if you had a 10% dilution for 2.50 it might be a hot item. Think of it this way, if .3-.8% is good, that means if you dilute it with 90% VG, you could cut it up in 10s and it'd still be potent enough to use it at 5-8% in a mix. Maybe a 6-8% dilution and it'd cost the same as INW and be almost as potent. I'd buy that shit forsure.
I've bought a few medicine flower concentrates. Raspberry, white chocolate, dark chocolate and vanilla.
I love the 2 chocolates as an addition for bronuts.
- 5% Chocolate Glazed Donut (dropped by 2%)
- 1% FW Yellow Cake
- 0.75% Biscuit
- 0.75% Joy
- 0.2% MF Dark Chocolate (or 2% @10% dilution)
- 0.2% MF White Chocolate ""
I've taken the chocolate up to about 0.7%, tried a few mixes with them up at about 3% but they really didn't work out. It provides a very solid chocolate background to a mix, REALLY solid. It takes a long time to steep though, expect to leave a mix for at least 2 weeks before enjoying. 2 months in on a bronuts mix I have at 0.2% each and it smells almost overwhelmingly chocolatey. If you're steeping it for a while increase all other flavours by ~10%. MF can take it.
The vanilla was a good vanilla flavour. Very realistic but honestly there are equally strong vanillas from elsewhere. It was outmatched by FA Vanilla Bourbon in bakery flavours but was very pleasant with fruit or cocktail mixes.
Raspberry was lovely, I haven't tried INW rasbperry yet so I haven't got a good comparison. All I've tried is raspberry sweet which I really dislike. It was realistic, mixed VERY well with 0.3% of the chocolates and FA Brandy. Marshmallow or creams to smoothen it all out, maybe EM would be enough but would mute quite a bit.

I know that, if MF dilutions were available, I'd buy a few when ordering other stuff.

I believe there is definitely a market for them. Ecx is looking into them, but other than that, Abdada was the only source I've seen for dilutions. Even if you just carried smaller bottles of full concentrates, that would be awesome. Some berries, esp. white cherry. And maybe banana at least.
I ordered from Abdada back in April, messaged 2-3 times over the course of 4 months, never did get a package.
Really? I ordered last month. Sent one email and got a response that he had been out of the country and that he would reply that night. Then nothing. I honestly thought nothing of it until I saw this. That sucks, but I think I'm only going to be out around $15.
I think you could move some for sure and to make your life easier just offer one dilution strength in 10 and 30ml bottles. (I vote for 5:1 but AB says that's his least best seller). Diluting them improves the shelf life as well. Put White Cherry, Dark Chocolate and Vanilla on the list to try for yourself. Do not take them off the list after you've put them on. Seriously good flavors.
Definitely talk to MF. The have reasonable wholesale pricing as well.
Sell as dilutions (10%) and good to go. They are straight flavor molecules, not diluted in PG/VG like other vendors.
Hard to work with but damn is their strawberry tasty.

Haha that's good stuff. That's like them saying you can't sell my shit at all...I just don't get some vendors. What do they care what you do with it after they get their money.
If i can't sell dilutions, I guess I can't use it as an ingredient in juice either as that is a dilution with nicotine added...
Definitely get their strawberry (I use 1-1.5% in high VG juices) and blueberry (.3-.5%). I also really enjoyed plum (.5-1%), red apple (~1.5%), and golden apple (~1.5%). I'd say stay away from the coconut, I wasn't too impressed with that but it was incredibly strong.
Also! If you're gracious about it and ask very nicely, they toss in one or two little sampler bottles. ;) Just let them know what you'd like to try.
Medicine Flower strawberry is amazing. 6 drops into a 30ml 80/20 bottle and it shows up. Awesome addition to any strawberry juice with just a couple of drops added. Smooth, realistic flavor.
Even though I've heard this about FA strawberry, then FLV strawberry, and then shisha, I think you sold me.
Watch your totals on it. Anything over 0.5% overall is going to start to overpower things and might kill a flavor. It is a great tool to add to TFA Strawberry Ripe or a Strawberry stone but a little for sure goes a LONG way with this stuff! I was kind of taken back when I first heard about it and looked at the $22.00 for a 15ml bottle, but it is worth every penny of that imo.
MF Chocolate is supposed to be the best, i've never tried them. /u/abdada (who I haven't seen around in a long time) sells dilutions on his site.

I'm a fan. Some MF aren't as strong though. I've realized that Vanilla needs to get up to around 2% to really come out but when it does? Damn. Lots of the others are great and plenty strong at 0.5-1%. I only have blackberry out of the 4 you mention but it's very good. Blueberry and Strawberry will be on my next order. Keep in mind, they are natural extracts and fruits are different from batch to batch. As I told Gremlin, White Cherry, Dark Chocolate and Vanilla are my stand out favorites so far.
I have the Honeydew and Coconut flavors. I'm waiting for my VS to come back from their repair before I try it, but I've had 5 drops of each steeping in 30mL of VG for 2 weeks just to see what that does. I also ordered Watermelon and Mint dilutions from A.B. Dada about 2 and a half weeks ago, so I'm anxious to try those.
I would love to try these but I can't seem to find them anywhere in the UK and the postage would be way too high to order from the US. 😦
