Since I began making my own juice, I made it my mission to create a Spew clone. I've collected 6 different watermelon, 3 different cantaloupe and 2 different honeydew flavors to experiment with. But every attempt so far has lead me to a variety of bubblegum-like flavors. Still tastes good, but not even in the same ballpark of the flavor profile I've been going for.
This particular recipe caught me by surprise though. It's like I caught lightning in a bottle. It's a retooled version of this recipe I found. I replaced the Pear with FW Watermelon, knowing how Mount Baker Vapor favors Flavor West flavors, and Spew has a heavy watermelon flavor profile. I dialed down the honeydew because it's an overpowering flavor to work with, used the FW Cantaloupe simply because I didn't have the Cap version and added 1% of Cotton Candy for added sweetness.
Final recipe looks like this:
6% Watermelon (FW)
4% Strawberry Ripe (TFA)
2% Honeydew (TFA)
2% Mango (TFA)
1.25% Fuji Apple (FA)
1% Cantaloupe (FW)
1% Cotton Candy (TFA)
The FW Watermelon has a sweet candy watermelon flavor which can't be subbed out for TFA or anything similar, it's unique to this recipe. Also, the TFA Mango is also very unique and can't be subbed, I tried this with FW Mango and it ruined the synergy. The fruit base works well together and the cantaloupe gives it the bubble gum mouth feel. Any type of tweaks that I've tried took the recipe further away than what I had here.
I recommend this letting sit overnight for the honeydew to settle some, but is still enjoyable as a shake and vape. It's just like chewing a fresh piece of Juicy Fruit.
If you want Juicy Fruit Gum, try FA Tutti Frutti @ 2.5% all by itself
Seriously ? I have Capella's Bubble Gum flavor and it smells identical to "Juicy fruit " but it's not very strong.
TFA bubble gum i believe is the weakest of all but thats a Bazooka Joe's flavor.
So Tutti Frutti huh , going to have to give this one a go , thanks.
