Hostess Jelly Doughnut

Because I've have a lot of people love this recipe I thought I'd share on the main page. Yes the percentage of raspberry might seem high but it's necessary, let it steep for a day. Tastes; to me and others, just like the powdered sugar raspberry jelly donuts.

Jesus, that's a lot of raspberry. And torrone. Do they not completely overpower the mix at those percentages?

It's intense the first day; however, I heat bath mine once made and wait to vape it the next morning. Then after that it gets better and better each day. I'm using an Aromamizer RDTA & Phenotype-L. Between 50-85 watts.

You better change my mind about torrone in anything above .25%. If not..well....I'll just not use it anymore.

I mixed this a while ago and I'll let it set for a couple days and let you know how it is!

Honestly I experimented with 0.25% all the way to 2%. In my opinion what it does is add that powdered sugar, overly sweet sensation to your tongue, while sweetening the juice. Who knows?! Taste is subjective, my buddy tastes black licorice in Mr. Miyagi by Alpha Vapes.

Was thinking the same thing. The 1% I put in some of my mixes is totally up front and strong. Still, I am going to give this a try as is though I have a feeling I will be re-mixing with lower raspberry.

Hey, I do love raspberries. This one scared me a bit with the INW though haha. It's settling overnight as OP recommended, so we'll see!

Here's mine, the Canadian equivalent. Jelly Donuts from Tim Hortons.

Jelly Donut

X% Frosted Donut TFA

X% Strawberry TFA

X% Sweet Cream TFA

Your own choice of sweetener.

Edit: Sorry, have to take out percentages as I am now working with partners. If anyone stumbles across this just play with the %'s its a really nice fruity slightly pastry flavor!

Nope, not at all.

I would even recommend turning down the % of it as after steeping it has a totally different flavor.

I'm not sure about that. I don't have almond or honey currently. If you're familiar with the donut, try it with what you have and let me know if that works.

In my opinion, while that might be decent (maybe use .2% FA Honey, .5% FA Almond), it won't be torrone at all. It just has this weird taste. I don't really know how to describe it. Hints of lemon, hints of nuttiness, hints of honey, and hints of...something else that's supposed to be nougat. It sounds amazing by description, but I honestly haven't cared for it in anything I've tried. I'll be trying this recipe out tomorrow, so we'll see if that opinion changes.

Also INW raspberry has been the only one to replicate that donut. Others don't quite have that bite! However, taste is subjective.

Yep. I understand that. The Biscuit, Yellow Cake & Joy fill in for it, giving it that processed Hostess "donut" taste a lot of us are familiar with.
