One for the mint lovers! My first attempt at a menthol, I vaped menthol almost exclusively for a year until I burnt out on it, and moved to DIY to keep the cost of flavour-chasing down while searching for some delicious ADVs.
After a few months vaping tons of recipes I was sick of all the fucking sugary business all the damn time and needed a reprieve from my old friend. I like a very icy menthol and this definitely isn't it, but I was ecstatic when I took the first few pulls and tasted pretty much spot on peppermint lifesavers. I'll keep this recipe but also make another with the menthol bumped up between 1-3%, and maybe lower the pepp to around 1% for more straight menthol with a little peppermint.
My menthol solution is 10ml PG to 1g of crushed menthol crystals, warm water bath etc. Not sure how this compares to vendor menthol concs, but I hear it should be similar.
Super simple, super effective recipe. Hopefully it tastes authentic to others, I haven't actually had lifesavers in years, and I'm only assuming they version we get here in Australia is the same as in the US :) I'll grab a pack today to do a comparison.
- Menthol (DIY 10% Soultion) - 2%
- Peppermint (FA) - 2%
- Wintergreen (TFA) - 1%

I like a strong vape. Are the percentages you have for the mints subdued at all?
Nice work, Just made this and it's performing well right after mix. I had to sub your menthol solution for some MBV (FW) Menthol as it's the only one I have and it's really nice.Wondering though as HIC states that the FA peppermint subdue's after a while so will be eager to see what this is like after a week or so..If it lasts that long.
Glad you like it! Yeah my 15ml test batch was gone in 24 hours lol, just mixed up another 30ml. Also mixed another 30ml with pepp at 1.5 and menthol at 4. Can't see myself vaping anything else for at least a week, really needed a break from all the flavoursss.
