A recipe for all the "TFA fruit circles" haters out there (and cream lovers!)
submitted almost 10 years ago by EizoozProud Sidebar Reader!

So there's always been a lot of disdain for TFA Fruit Circles and even mentioning its name in a thread immediately summons a random redditor screaming "IT TASTES LIKE PLEDGE". While these accusations are true to some degree, they come from frequent misuse. To quote /u/emanstic, Fruit Circles is: >"A rough n' tough cowboy with nothing to lose. Does not play well with others and often tries to fuck your sister. "

This means special care has to be taken to make sure you get the good out of it and minimize the bad. Most fruit notes will calm down and stop being so bright and bold when you add just a little cream, but the pledge-y flavor in Fruit Circles requires more attention than that. This recipe is a revision of the recipe by /u/tet5uo posted in this thread.

Without further ado, i present: Soggy Pebbles

  • Fruit Circles (TFA) - 3%
  • Berry Crunch (TFA) - 3%
  • Fresh Cream (FA) - 2%
  • Bavarian Cream (TFA) - 1.75%
  • Marshmallow (TFA) - 1.75%
  • Sweet Cream (TFA) - 1.5%
  • Total - 13%

Mix it up right now. I dare you. But don't vape it right away. The creams in this mix need time to beat down the Fruit Circles till it stops giving off that annoying lemon note. 2 days of steep time is mandatory. After that, i would recommend a few more days but if you're super eager to try it, 2 days is fine. If the lemon note is still too strong, try letting it breathe with the cap off for around 30 minutes and then another day of steeping. Don't breathe more than once.

After 2 days: Creamy, Sweet, and Lemon-y After a week: Tastes like milk in a fucking bowl with a general sugary-fruity-cereal taste. Awesome After two weeks: Wouldn't know, vaped it all too soon.

Flavor Breakdown:

  • TFA Fruit Circles - This contributes the actual fruity-cereal flavor, and as we've discussed is a bastard to work with.
  • TFA Berry Crunch - This adds the cereal/bready(?) flavor to it, so its not just milk-fruit-cream.
  • FA Fresh Cream - This cream is awesome all around, but in this recipe helps add a smooth, sweet, dairy cream
  • TFA Bavarian Cream - This is a big weapon against the harshness of Fruit Circles. Bavarian Cream tells bright high notes to calm the fuck down and adds a richness to the flavor
  • TFA Marshmallow - adds a lot of sweetness and rounds out the flavors
  • TFA Sweet Cream - this flavor is one of my favorites because it emulates a sweet milk so well. It smells like death out of the bottle, but in low %'s it is amazingggg for milky flavors. Obviously this is necessary for a milk based flavor.

So there it is, a milky-creamy-fruity-cerealy vape that doesnt taste like cleaner. In fact it tastes awesome. Hope you like it!

Hey thanks for the recipe! This is a lot like Robin's recipe on e-liquid-recipes:

http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/92786/Cereal+

Just mixed some up now! here's to hoping it is smoother than his. The citrus/lemon was too overpowering at his recipe in 5%, I also think your use of the FA cream fresh will help tone it down as well.

Cheers!

Every fruit circles/berry crunch recipe is pretty much the same with slightly varying percentages. It would be nice to see a fresh take on the profile in the future.

How much can you change something that's supposed to taste like a starchy fruit cereal, though? Unless you divert from the fruit cereal taste. No?

by ThirdWorldOrderalmost 10 years ago

Exactly my point. I don't know why any more cereal recipe threads need to be created using the same ingredients.

This pretty much looks like the 'TongueFuck" recipe by /u/i_seen and modified by /u/tet5uo. I've been vaping tet5uo's for the last couple months now and it's still awesome and I don'[t find it harsh or lemony at all.

For the newbies who don't know or can't look it up

Did you read my post? I credit him in it and link to the thread I found it in

Read it but didn't click all the links. Afraid you had missed crediting /u/i_seen for the original version of the recipe.

This recipe has sure seen some versions :D

Right, but other people do find it too lemony or strong so that was the point of this reiteration, hence the title. If you like TF than vape it, this is for people who don't.

Day 2: Huge change. Taste is starting to match what is advertised quite nicely. The lemon has started to step back and the other flavorings are starting to shine through. I think the VBIC/Dairy substitution is going to work out splendidly.

After being let down by damn fruit circles 20 times, they way you explained it, it seems possible. Even berry crunch is a rough flavor, to me a get a predominant rotten berry note. SO I applaud you, Nice job I think I will give this a try. I have mad respect for people who keep using flavors that are deemed worthless, and make them work!

For TFA Fruit Circles , I use a Milk recipe such as "Cereal Milk" but I lower the Percentages by Half and then add (CAP) Lemon Meringue Pie 2% & a little of some kind of other Citrus such as 0.3% of (FA)Orange or Bergamot or (CAP)Sweet Tangerine and that seems to kill the Pledge for my pallet.

I'm looking at the Backend of Unicorn Milk for the underlying taste.

  • Graham Cracker (CAP) 0.7 %
  • Butter Creme (CAP) 0.5 %
  • Sweet Creme (CAP) 0.5 %

I haven't messed with it enough to throw out any final recipes, but there is an idea. My problem with TFA Fruit Circles is that when I eat Fruit Loops "or drink the milk" I don't taste Lemon.

I really wish some people would buy a bottle of Slurp by JUC from Indy E Cigs and tell me what flavors they taste in it. That stuff is amazing IMO.

suggestions on tweaking this if I have TFA's Fruit Circles with milk?

I don't have marshmallow yet (it's on the way) or FA Fresh Cream but I'm thinking I can improvise.

I have a sorta decent blend I made with it but like a complete moron, I "wrote" everything down on Notepad then I went out of town for a few days and when i came back my computer had rebooted. I lost like 3 decent recipes and a great one that way.

Have never used TFA Fruit Circles With Milk. Hopefully someone else can chime in

by koniferusalmost 10 years agoMixologist

I would start at 4-5% with fruit circles with milk, you may end up cranking it up higher in the future. I just got regular fruit circles and by the smell of it, I want my Fruit Circles w/ Milk back.

I've gone up to 8% mixing fruit circles with custards and it's pretty great. I always add at least 2% Crunch Berry, CAP Super Sweet for my sweetener, and a little bit of TFA Strawberry - 1-2%

by ScreamQueen813almost 10 years ago

I use FCWM below 5%. Start at 3% and work your way up. Some people love it at 10%, but that's way too much for me. It still has that lemon pledge aspect as fruit circles, but not as pronounced. Let it sit for at least 4 days, the harshness dies down eventually.

Mixed this up but in lieu of FA Fresh Cream I subbed:

  • TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (I know, right?) - 1.5%

  • TFA Dairy/Milk - 1.5%

I must be one of those weird people or my tastebuds are fucked. I find the mix enjoyable right after mixing. I am going to shelve it like you recommend for a few days, however. I know it won't be just like yours because of the substitution. Regardless, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Ooh that sounds good I love vbic but haven't tried dairy. I personally can vape it right after but that's because I don't mind the strong lemon at first

by dbbldz123almost 10 years ago

Never really understood the hate for fruit circles. Having said that.. I've never dared vape it alone and almost always combine it with Berry Crunch and a strong cream of some sort (or several). I also get a pretty strong bergamot vibe from fruit loops in general. Recently ate an Earl Grey macaron and my brain went 'fruit loops'! So been throwing that in the mix too albeit at fairly low concentrations. AP has also worked to bring out some of the more crispy cereal notes. Silly Rabbit on the other hand I would gladly trade for Fruit Circles any day.

Silly rabbit is a TFA flavor?

yep

How prominent do you think it is in the Blue dot flavor silly rabbit?

I'll take your dare, if only to get my sister walking upright again.

Seriously though, thanks for posting, will mix it up tomorrow.

What would you suggest in place of FreshCream, I got TFA whipped cream, Malted Milk, Vanilla Swirl, French Vanilla, and other creams, or would you suggest that I just increase Marshmallow/sweet cream. OR is the recipe ruined if I dont use fresh cream

1 points

by Eizoozalmost 10 years agoProud Sidebar Reader!

You could pebbly do without fresh cream. Just up marshmallow and Bavarian by .5 each and it should be ok

1 points

by MaythamKalmost 10 years ago

Sounds good, this will be my 3rd cereal vape recipe I tried so fingers crossed

1 points

by jersey_emtalmost 10 years ago

I don't have the Fresh Cream either, and this recipe is almost exactly like the cereal one I worked out for myself, which I think worked out pretty great.

  • 4% TFA Berry Crunch
  • 4% TFA Fruit Circles
  • 3% TFA Bavarian Cream
  • 3% TFA Marshmallow
  • 1% TFA Sweet Cream

OK, I took your dare. I just mixed this. If it works, I will praise you until the heavens fall. If it doesn't, I'll hate you forever for making me revisit the horror that is fruit circles.

Nice. I haven't gotten around to experimenting with fruits circles with creamy mixes yet; I just have a couple of fruity mixes with fruits circles, but I have all your listed ingredients and will give it a shot tonight!

Mixed a 30ml up MaxVG, dunno if I can wait to try it though! I'll update with the taste tests!

by _thisisadream_almost 10 years ago

Wow, extremely similar to one of my recipes! For a straight up fruit loops, I use this:

3.5% fruit circles 3% fresh cream 2.75% sugar cookie 1.5% yellow cake 1.5% sweet cream .25% meringue

It's absolutely delicious. I don't get the fruit circles hate.. People just try mixing it at 10% and wonder why their juice isn't any good

About a week in: Still dig it! Tastes damn good imo. Don't think it will last another couple days even though I'm TRYING to only vape a ml or 2 a day for science and all. I made a 60ml bottle. This one may have to hit the 8oz bottle.

TFA fruit circles is just harsh honestly, every time it's in a recipe I can taste it right away

0 points

by snowman5555almost 10 years ago

So you took away 4% fruit circles?

1 points

by Eizoozalmost 10 years agoProud Sidebar Reader!

the recipe that i was working off of had 7% Fruit Circles and i toned it down after several iterations. I previously posted this recipe in a comment with 2% Berry Crunch and 4% Fruit Circles but i have since changed those

Bavarian cream kills flavor dead

Not sure what you mean, but TFA BC is the base of some of my most tasty vapes.

2 points

by koniferusalmost 10 years agoMixologist

7.75% TFA Vanilla Custard

7.75% TFA Bavarian Cream

3% TFA Ripe Strawberry

After 2 weeks of steeping it tastes divine. I know it looks retarded.

by BooksofMagicalmost 10 years agoMixologist

I've got a Banana Pudding recipe simliar to that one:

  • 4% Bavarian Cream (I prefer LorAnn but TFA works too)
  • 4% Cheesecake (See Bavarian Cream notes)
  • 2.5% Banana Ripe TFA
1 points

by dbbldz123almost 10 years ago

same for me. but if you overdo it the Bavarian will indeed go on a flavor muting rampage.

1 points

by BooksofMagicalmost 10 years agoMixologist

I prefer to LorAnn Bavarian Cream myself - tastes a little richer but that may be because it has more diacetyl in it.

so a vanilla infused cream kills flavors? You do know that vanilla enhances most flavors, right?
