Finally got around to building a rack for my flavorings.

The rack was made out of spare acrylic that my dad uses at his shop. I just used acrylic glue on a bunch of equally sized parts. An employee cut them to the wrong size, so they were just going to throw them away.
DEAD ARE THE DAYS WHERE I WOULD PICK THROUGH EACH BOTTLE AND LIFT THEM TO SEE THEIR LABELS.

Sweet, I'm still doing the "pull and look" for bottles myself... I need a better solution soon though I think. I've got limited space as is.

Does anyone know how much sunlight effects flavors? I know we all keep out nicotine and finished (or steeping) juices out if sunlight as much as possible. Does that go for flavorings as well?

I've been told to keep flavors in a cool and dark place.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure, I don't think it's that much of a concern, but for large quantities (4oz and up) keeping them in a dark place sounds like it'd be a good idea.

It would kinda make sense to keep them out of direct sunlight and heat... I don't think the need to be in complete darkness, but couldn't hurt to insure a little more care

What do you use to cut the acrylic?

Generally, we use a CNC router to cut acrylic this thick, but obviously that isn't something people can just have access to.

Score it with this tool and snap it along the score line.

Video instructions, including other ways to cut.

That looks awesome! :) Is it hard to glue acrylic without making a mess?

Honestly, it takes some practice. You use this very low viscosity acrylic adhesive which more or less melts the outer layer of acrylic, but that adhesive leaves almost no residue should you get it somewhere you don't want it.
Then you use an actual acrylic glue. That 2nd glue levels itself out, so if you get it exactly where you need it to go then you're golden, but it's pretty tough to do that because the pour is very inconsistent, and a lot of times you'll get a thin strand of glue that hardens very quickly.
I actually did a very shitty job in that regard hahaha

Interesting, cheers for the insight! :)
