Twinkin' Out (Twinkie Recipe)
submitted almost 10 years ago by ExaltedStudios

I've been working on this for a bit, and I think I'm starting to get somewhere with it. Before two weeks, everything is very hash, so I would not recommend even trying it before the two weeks of steeping. After the two weeks, things begin to round out and taste really fluffy.

Any input is more than welcome, as I think this is very close, but could use something more, or maybe even something less. Let me know what you think :)

1 drop of FA - Joy per 10 ml

3 drops of your preferred sweetener per 10 ml.

Twinkin' Out

Ingredient|% :---|---: Biscuit (INAWERA)|3 Cake (Yellow) (FW)|5 DX Sweet Cream (TPA)|4 Meringue (FA)|2 Whipped Cream (TPA)|2

Flavor total: 16%

Remember to rate it at e-liquid-recipes.com!

Looks good. Will try this despite the name sounding like the title of a gay porno

LOL. Had to ruin it, didn't you? Hope you like the flavor more than you like the name :P My friends say it's spot-on twinkie.

Nice. Can't wait. Might adapt this, add some extra dairy/milk flavor, and call it 'Twink Milk'.

That also sounds like the title of a gay porno, maybe the sequel?

Everything is "very hard" because you're using Biscuit like it's the star of the recipe....Too much cookie in this recipe. I had a perfect twinkie vape about 8 months ago. Lost it when a harddrive failed. Been meaning to recreate it. Went something like this.

  • 6-8% Yellow Cake FW
  • .5 - 1% Vanilla Custard FLV
  • .5 - 1% Vienna Cream FA
  • .8% Biscuit INW
  • .2% Holy Vanilla DIYFS

Simple & delicious. Shake & Vape. Could use more cake, but i dont like Cake Batter CAP. Might need more cream, it's been a while. Might make a new batch soon & add ~.3% Joy.

agree whole heartedly. been working on a peanut butter cookie recipe and even at 1.5%, INW Biscuit overpowers all the other flavors. its a pretty potent flavor.

Backups backups backups.

TLDR : Do as I say, not as I do. I'm so guilty.

Yeah that's why I started physically writing everything in a notebook. Between this time last year & April this year, I think I went through about 6 or 7 harddrives. Fucking. Ridiculous. I finally got a solid state 2 months ago & i couldn't tell you for the life of me how many dozens of recipes I've lost.

When installing my Solid State, I accidentally wiped my external backup drive in CMD prompt (which I picked up after the last harddrive failed, long before i got the SSD) & lost about 4 years of pictures & videos, & about 150gb or more of music dating back 10 years, most of it from within the last 5-7. FML.

Yea. I'm pretty good about keeping copies of stuff on a separate physical devices, but I've gotten lax in the past few months and had three hard drives die on me in the last three weeks. I didn't lose everything, but it hurt. I keep telling myself, "You know better than that, you stupid fucking eeediot!!" I need to get back into the quarterly archiving to optical media routine. Blurays are cheap now and I have no excuse other than laziness.

How do you go through that many hard drives? I haven't had one fail me in 5 years and one of mine is in such a bad spot in my case it often has a smart status saying it's at 50*C

You had FLV Vanilla Custard 8 months ago?

In four days, it'll have been 8 months since Brendan's/Flavorah's introduction post to this board. Our beloved moderators were posting about them beforehand. I ordered quickly when he announced his bargain-sale for $2.50 a 15ml.

So, yeah.

Wow, with that much yellow cake, you must have to change your coils daily?!

I never had an issue with this specific recipe gunking up. I was able to go 2-3 days without rewicking vaping 15-30mls a day.

Wow, that's good going, I always heard that yellow cake was a coil crusher

Looks interesting. I've got everything but the biscuit. Once I finally get some I'll give it a shot.

Finally someone posts a recipe where I'm not mixing a flavor I'm going to mix this up this afternoon.

[edit: Reread original post and answered my own question, go figure.]

LOL, "twinkin'" might have more definitions that you are currently aware of.

I always think that Twinkie recipes should have just the slightest hint of Banana. Isn't that in an actual Twinkie?

1 points

by tranceinatealmost 10 years ago

I've heard that about creme brulee, but never twinkie. I've never tasted banana in a twinkie O_O

I know what my next variation is.

1 points

by ExaltedStudiosalmost 10 years ago

The basis of creme brulee is cream, cream, milk, sugar, sugar, sugar, sugar, and caramelized sugar. There's variations with banana in them, and it's always a good subtle addition, but it's not in the base recipe at all.

The original twinkies were banana flavored. But that was before WW2.

Thanks for the answer. I've only had about four twinkies in my lifetime. Was never a go-to binge food for me. Just was requested to make this for a while :)

This is about a year old. Was my second recipe. I should revisit it. The cake batter should be changed to FW yellow cake. Marsh mellow @1% might give it more fullness on the mouth feel. Vanilla custard @ 1% might do the same thing. The whip cream might also be replaceable with meringue. For me it was still missing that slickness of the filling. Biscuit and Joy at low % like .5% or lower might be interesting. The bavarian cream and sweet cream work great at equal %'s. The brown sugar adds that slightly dark and burn bottom taste. I think the vanilla cupcake is just right at 7%

  • Bavarian Cream (TPA) 3%

  • Brown Sugar (TPA) 1%

  • Cake Batter (CAP) 3%

  • Sweet Cream (TPA) 3%

  • Vanilla Cupcake (TPA) 7%

  • Whipped Cream (TPA) 1%
