Gush! by Midnight Vapes Co..

Gush! by Midnight Vapes Co.

  • 5% Swedish Gummy (TPA)
  • 4% Gummy Candy (TPA)
  • 4% Strawberry Ripe (TPA)
  • 3% Watermelon (TPA)
  • 2% Peach (TPA)
  • 0.125% Marshmallow (TPA)
  • 1% Sweetener

Simple version:

  • 5% Swedish Fish (TPA)
  • 4% Gummy Candy (TPA)
  • 4% Strawberry Ripe (TPA)
  • 1% Marshmallow (TPA)

Here's my interpretation of Gush!, the flavor is reminiscent of the red gushers.

The main ingredients are Swedish Gummy, Gummy Candy and Strawberry. I haven't tried this yet, but I think the Sweetener can be substituted with more Marshmallow.

The color is pretty accurate to store bought Gush! just a little lighter in color, it will likely change color darkening as it steeps.

I originally made this with 2% Sweetener, it was very sweet imo, so I've dropped it to 1% Sweetener for this recipe.

Enjoy!

What if I told you that Gush is literally a single flavor concentrate?

But which concentrate is it....? http://i.imgur.com/RWaZUOv.jpg

FW Shirley Temple. As soon as you open the bottle you will immediately go "You motherfuckers... $22 USD for 30ml"

Haha I've discovered that in my few weeks of DIY. I made a juice which tastes exactly like Pineapple Peach Smoothie by TBD Liquids, with only three ingredients, could probably even be two, although I think there is honey in his somewhere.

I kinda feel bad for cloning that though because I really like his juice and want to support him haha :P

But yeah I've noticed that a lot of the juices I used to rave about are nothing more than maybe 2-3 flavours mixed pretty simply, like 5/5/5 etc.

Coupled with the fact that I haven't made a juice which I don't enjoy yet makes me really believe that all of these premium vendors are ripping a lot of people off.

I also just realised that I am talking to a juice vendor.

I have a bottle of Gush right now and I'm not exactly sure what the ingredients are but I can say with 100% certainty that Shirley Temple is not the dominant flavor if it's even in the recipe at all. I have a bottle of Shirley Temple as well.

Nice! Not surprised, I had heard it was one flavoring. Thanks for sharing :)

Try my version, I think it's Gushier :P

Which version of Gummy Candy is this?

I have to put in my $0.02 here.

Gush is probably one of the worst flavor interpretations I've ever tasted. Not only does the stuff not taste like gushers, it tastes to me like Loreal shampoo.

I'm willing to bet your clone recipe is 100x's tastier!

It tastes pretty close to me. Also does not taste like what I'd expect Loreal shampoo to taste like, though I may pick up a bottle on your recommendation.

Perhaps I got a bad batch? No idea, but it tasted nothing like gushers, and with an overload of sweetener. Take a whiff of the bottle and tell me it doesnt smell like shampoo.

I'm not saying you're wrong or anything, taste/smell is probably perceived differently by every single individual so it might just smell or taste that way to you.

I get shampoo notes from a lot of "gummy" flavors, too. Tried a kiwi gummy mix, others liked it but I could only taste VO5.

I too don't think Gush! is totally accurate, tbh I do like the clone more.

What is up with the simple version? Also what do you mean by "Swedish Fish"? Do you mean use "Swedish Gummy (TFA) or Swedish Fish (FW)"?

2 points

by clonedejuicealmost 10 years ago

Just an alternative version, it should give similar results to the first recipe.
I'm going to start posting recipes alone with no other variations to make it less confusing.
I did mean Swedish Gummy (TPA), just corrected the post, thank you.

Thank you for the clarification. I had both the TFA/FW flavorings and was going to mix it up today to try it.

I've been mixing different variations of this recipe to try to make a clone recently. Similar to yours. After I get over this cold I have i'm going to throw some (FW) Shirley Temple in. That smells exactly what the center juicy part is missing in the mix. Smells like what they put in the actual Gush.

Gummi bears FW/TFA 4%

Swedish gummy tfa 1%

Juicy peach 2% tfa

Strawberry (Ripe) 2% tfa

Golden Pineapple 1% cap

But for now it tastes like a complex mixed bag of gummy bears which is still really good.

Have you tried kaktus? I've heard that lends a great juicy/wet feel.

/u/inertiacreeping indicates that FW Shirley Temple is in fact the only ingredient in Gush, so it sounds like you're on the right track there!

Hey! Mine is sorta similar to that, I went for my own kind of Gushers though, never tried the original.

5% Swedish Gummy TFA

4% Gummy Candy TFA

3% Strawberry (Ripe) ^

2% Watermelon LOR

1.5% Juicy Peach TFA

1% Sweet Strawberry CAP

.66% Kaktus INW

Been meaning to give pineapple a try in it, or even some INW Grapes for some crazy grape gushers.

I mixed this a week ago and let it steep in a drawer, it turned out great. I made one alteration, TFA Juicy Peach @ 2% in place of TFA Peach. I'll probably make some more tonight.
