Love it. Wish I had a space in my house like this for storage. Even then I think I would have to fight with the other half for it lol.

Haha sounds like the other half needs to get into the DIY game! It's kind of my shrine so I claimed religious freedom when my s.o. challenged me on it.

I like to imagine that once upon a time some young aspiring chef built it themselves just so they could open it up and improvise recipes with their spice collection and now I'm doing the same :)

Haha she quit smoking the same time that I did but never went on to vaping. Apparently she doesn't see the appeal. That and the fact she's says my diy gear looks like a meth lab.

My girl and I diy together its so fun! Me more than her though. I kind of go overboard with things. BUT we're tuning an extra room into the "diy lab" (:

These things are useful. They are stackable and rotate, making finding flavors easy. Only problem is that I have to order more trays one of these days

1 points

by TheVapeScapealmost 10 years ago

I like that! Is it just a spice storage rack?

1 points

by ThirdWorldOrderalmost 10 years ago

It's called a Stack-On SO-100 Carousel Stacking Tray

I bought them from Home Depot a while back but it looks like they've been discontinued. Probably find some somewhere else on the internet though. I think I paid about $3.50 for each tray originally.

Cool I can probably find something similar on Amazon. I have Amazon Prime so I love ordering from there.

I just use small cardboard boxes (like the ones bcv ships to you in) to hold all my concentrates. You can't see any of the labeling but i'm to lazy to come up with a better solution. Here's some pics at your request http://imgur.com/a/b8G6V

Maybe you could cut strips out of the cardboard on the sides so you could see the labels. Leave the corners obviously. You could also tape over the new holes to make sure nothing falls out. Or not, whatever works haha

Thanks for the link. That's a sweet setup you have there (much more advanced than mine.)I have a small temporary set up for now with some boxes I took from work with dividers in. I don't have too much equipment for now since I just started out but I'm looking for something larger on the long run. Anything that the little one can't get at would be great lol.

Mostly in my lungs and then it just kinda floats away.

I have 2 nail polish stands (hold about 40 each) on top of my piano and more sitting there waiting for me to buy another stand...it never ends!

by Heresaquestion-almost 10 years ago

I've had one or two people mention these to me prior to posting. Definitely going to look in to this. Thanks. :)

1 points

by Daztasticalmost 10 years ago

Yeah they're great. They hold around 40 10ml bottles but have enough of a shelf on each tier that you can put 100ml bottles on there too. I'm still looking for a better solution but these will suit me for now.

Here's a pic of my "First Aid" Locker. Does the job really well and it's lockable and came with plenty of spare keys: http://imgur.com/RTAUfOo

My wife got me an awesome rack off of etsy and loved telling everyone she got her husband a nail polish rack as a gift lol

Looks great. Definitely considering getting one. Are they mountable too?

2 points

by odoyal63almost 10 years ago

I have that one mounted to my wall but it has a sturdy base if you would like to stand it up on a dresser or table

there was a guy a couple weeks ago that made really cool DIY shelves that were collapsible....unfortunately my boss isn't a fan of me spending a bunch of time digging through reddit but they are definitely worth checking out

Thanks I will definitely have a dig. :D

Craftsman tool box. .3ml tester flavors go in the tray. 4oz production flavors go in the bottom. Flavor syringes in one bay and the nic syringe in the other.

I make $150 a week out of that damn tool box ;)

by jizzMusicianalmost 10 years ago

Yeah I have them in a drawer but want like a tackle box so I can store it and bring everything out at once sans vg and nic.

OCD freaks: help us out

EDIT reread the top post. I was talking about flavors, he's talking about juice. I keep both in a drawer.

I bought a ridiculously cheap tool box from Harbor Freight that's perfect for my small setup:

I got same exact one. It's so cheap for its worth !

Juice/concentrates miscellaneous diy supplies etc. I'm just interested to see people's set ups. :)

1 points

by jonest27almost 10 years ago

Sans VG? I thought only nic needed a fridge/freezer

1 points

by jizzMusicianalmost 10 years ago

I keep my main vg in the fridge. My nic gets frozen except for a 30ml bottle I keep in the fridge.

Since I already have the nic in the fridge I keep my dropper of vg in there too. No reason to, just keeps them together.

I use the sterilite drawers. I have 3X 3 drawer towers and organize them by flavor; berries, creams, flavored creams, fruits, pastries, citrus, spices, tropical, and miscellaneous.

Lately I've been leaving everything sitting out on the counter in my kitchen because every time I put it all away someone wants me to mix something and I have to drag it all out agian. I'm seriously thinking about building a wooden box that sits on the counter where the lid can lift off entirely giving easy access to all of my small bottles of flavoring. The 4 oz bottles would be the only ones to go in the cabinet.

I use this thing to store all of my flavors and supplies. Its super sturdy as well, I keep a gallon of VG and PG and my gloves on top. Perfect height to sit on a table or desk. Its surprisingly roomy in those drawers.

Something like this would be great, thanks for the reply.

I cleaned out the kitchen "junk drawer". Now it has a purpose other than accumulating random shit.

I have a rolling cart made of plastic that you can get uber cheap at walmart. I keep a stock of bottles in all sizes, and all my open aromas, as well as my pre-mixed base, pipettes, beakers, scale in drawer organizers.

Anything unopened and my backup stock is on a bookshelf.

Store? Like you make so much you need to store it? I make 3-4 120ml we use them when one gets close to empty I make another. I do not want to find myself with 100 unvaped bottles a year from now.

1 points

by shonalex1almost 10 years ago

Sell it to your friends and pay for your habit.

1 points

by Heresaquestion-almost 10 years ago

Not that I make so much I need to store it, I would like somewhere safe and tidy to keep my concentrates, pg, vg, syringes etc.

I grabbed some floral foam bricks for like 50 cents each on amazon. This has been my setup for my first 2 months works pretty well for just a few flavors. I have the nail polish racks on the way now since I need more room.

1 points

by Heresaquestion-almost 10 years ago

That's pretty clever and I can actually get these super cheap from work. Everybody on here has awesome set-ups I envy most of you though I am just starting out.

1 points

by shonalex1almost 10 years ago

That looks exactly like mine :) except I need to put mine away all the time. It's been a pain to clean up and set back up over and over. Maybe a little toolbox would work well.

1 points

by nomacjackalmost 10 years agoPâtissier

Yeah, it definitely doesn't stay that neat once I go mix like 7 diff recipes. I got the nail polish shelves off amazon for like 13$. Should be arriving soon.
