Nicotine turning bad?
submitted almost 10 years ago by pelk26

I've had some 48 mg/ml nicotine for quite some time now, maybe 9 months. I believe it's from wizard labs (not at home currently so I can't confirm), but I was just curious if anyone else had a problem with long term liQniQ storage? It tastes pretty harsh, and pretty chem-y. I only run about 4-5mg max in my juices and typically less to be honest. I vape out of a kanger subox mini setup at about 1.0 ohm.

any nicotine stored improperly for extended amounts of time will become oxidized. oxidized nicotine will taste harsh and "peppery".

a no no that we all try to stay away from :)

Also slightly yellowish, at least in my experience with an old improperly stored batch. Also smelled like cat urine.

You wont be able to get rid of it to anyone who has a clue to what they are doing. You'd have a hard time even giving it away.

I always thought that people kept their nic in the freezer, protected with a ziplock bag.

Buy your nicotine base from nude nicotine because they store then in Amber bottles which protects the nicotine.
