Major changes to the contest. Prize pool increased by $200, unpopular rules removed, and a sincere thank you.

I'm going to try to make this quick because I really have to get to bed...
If your out of the loop, please visit the contest here.

/u/famousdeadperson donated a total of $200 worth of TFA gift cards to the prize pool and that should make things a lot more interesting. Rewards are as follows:

1st Prize:
$100 TFA gift card via /u/famousdeadperson
$20 gift card via me.
2nd and 3rd prize:
$50 TFA gift card via /u/famousdeadperson
$10 gift card via me.

Rule Changes:

  • ~~I'm going to start off a bit simple and require a maximum of 5 flavors. If this works out I will adapt this to what ever you guys prefer in the future. If you wish to include more than that amont feel free to include additional ingredients as you wish, but to maximize your chances at winning keep in mind the base 5 flavors will be judged the most.~~ This rule was very unpopular, and in order to maximize the amount of entries I will no longer be using this rule. I feel terrible for changing a rule this big after it's already started but since this is new, I hope you understand I am doing it because of public feedback. I will offer each user who has already submitted a recipe a $10 gift card to Bull City Vapor that can be redeemed within the next 10 business days. They are also welcome to use the same recipe in the original contest.

  • No longer required to go off of a list of flavors carried by a vendor. The purpose of this was because while it is growing weekly, they had a considerably lower catalog than others, a way to try to make a level playing field for some of the newer mixers. I'm a huge fan of those guys and they have always treated me right so it just fit. I understand the conflict that makes for some of you guys with some really awesome recipes with less common flavorings and the last thing I want to do is limit the newer guys from trying them.

  • One entry per user, and accounts must be active within the sub within the last month.

I apologize for the confusion and I hope these changes makes the contest more attractive to the people who had complaints. How ever, for this month's contest there will be NO more rule changing. I've tried extremely hard to work with everyone and I hope I have made as many people as I can happy and this doesn't come back to bite me in the ass. Thanks again for all the feedback and I look forward to trying out your entries within the thread and don't forget to up vote the ones you like!

No, if I understand correctly you just have to have been active in the sub within the last month.
