Okay so I've never even had the original nana cream. I got into vaping and started making my own juice after the first week. Anyways, I've seen a few variations and I wanted to check which one was the best. I found a recipe for Jacksters but it said it was archived and wouldn't display the comments (new here too). I am ordering off bull city vapor thus I will not be getting the LA banana cream and I will be getting the TFA version, I've read in numerous places it can be subbed. I also will be trying the quince recipe of nana cream.
- 5% LA banana cream (TFA instead?)
- 8% TFA strawberry
- 2% TFA quince OR 3% TFA Dragondruit?
Which is more preferred? I only want to try something close to the original is because from the profile lof this flavor it sounds really good, and im not much of a fan of dragonfruit and I have never had quince. If the dragonfruit isn't very prevalent though, I don't think iI'll have any issues. Maybe 1%DF .5%Quince and 1%Apricot? If no one has tried something like this, I'll make up a small batch and update this.
**edit BTW this is /u/skiddlzninja's recipe.
TFA and LA banana cream are way different and I wouldn't sub one for the other and I don't know about accuracy to the original because I have mostly only DIY'd for over 2 years but I can tell you the most popular version is fizzmustard's:
5.0% LA Banana Cream
3.0% TFA Dragon Fruit
7.0% TFA Strawberry
We still using the citric acid solution in this? From what I remember it was the 10% dilution and 1 drop per 5ml.
i have all but banana cream, but have banana and both sweet/bavarian cream. any idea what ratios to use for those to make banana cream?
Neither. You're better off just using banana. The "cream" in LA banana cream is very light, and just gives the banana a smooth candy-like feel. Find a banana that tastes like runts(TFA banana ripe or FW banana) and use that to your heart's content.
"Best" is subjective.
Why don't you try them all and decide for yourself?
This quince recipe is actually /u/skiddlzninja 's recipe. Reading up on some of his posts will help you see the progression that he's made.
(you should give him some credit too)
Edit: I still can't understand why so many people in this sub gets so defensive when you suggest something. This sub is about give and take not gimmie gimmie. When asking for a question, you will get suggestions. When a suggestion is made, evaluation of the statement should be made; not a quickfire on why you're right and someone else is wrong.
Because I don't have the money to just order every flavor? I just wanted opinions, those are not subjective...and I wasn't implying this wasn't his, I was just in a rush and spaced and forgot to.
> I just wanted opinions, those are not subjective
Let's all just take a moment and reflect on this statement.
Okay, yes they are subjective. But the entire point of this post was go get people's opinions. I'm trying hard not to be rude because this is not the place for it. All I wanted was to hear what other people thought about it. Obviously the best way to fell which you will like better is to get all of the flavors for whatever. I wanted to know where to start. I don't have deep enough pockets to just buy all of one flavor and see which like best, I like to see what other people like.
I ran out of Dragonfruit when I was making my last batch. Replaced it with Apricot and I gotta say, it's pretty delicious!
Nana Cream - Apricot Delicious
Ingredient|% :---|---: Apricot|1.3 Banana Cream|5.5 Citric Acid (10% solution) |2 Pear|2 Strawberry|7
Flavor total: 17.8%
The closest thing I've been making recently, based on /u/skiddlzninja 's Quince finding and a slightly tweaked version of my original homage is:
- 5% LA Banana Cream
- 7% TFA Strawberry
- 1% TFA Quince
- 2% TFA Dragonfruit
I didn't really find TFA Apricot to be necessary, but it could just be me.
I like the added sweetness the apricot brings. Try it with a dash of kiwi double if you find the time, it really brings the flavors to a new level. Like .5% on top of the dragonfruit.
Hey man, if you want it to be a sweet, fruity flavor(like authentic) and not a creamy, thick, dessert flavor(if you use TFA Banana Cream, it will be like this) Buy FW banana, and FA banana, and use them 2:1 to make a runt-like banana base. It's not as good as LA banana cream(buy some when you do get the chance, it's worth it. Makes a great base for a lot of fruit flavors) but it will definitely be nice fruity flavor instead of like banana pudding.
Also, my revised recipe is definitely the best. It uses small amounts of quince and dragonfruit, with some apricot and kiwi double(if you want it.) It's definitely ADV status, I go through about 200mL every 3 weeks.
Can you link me to your new revised recipe? Been looking into this a lot and still haven't come across it. I have capellas banana. I'm sure there's nothing I can do with that huh? I already placed my order and FA kiwi is on it as well. I was thinking maybe adding 1% FA kiwi? Or would you recommend adding kiwi to the strawberry astronaut clone? I was thinking
- 7-8% TFA Strawberry
- 2.5% TFA Apricot (supposed to be 3 but I don't want it too strong
- 1% TFA Mango
- 1% FA Kiwi
- 1 drop INW Cactus/10-20ML to add some juicyness?
You need LA banana cream - fortunately it's easily available from non-vape suppliers, you may be able to find it in a physical store.
The dragonfruit version is very close to the original.
I'm still waiting on an order for quince and apricot to come in so haven't tried that version yet.
So this may not be for op since it's I've never tried the original and it's "twisted" from the clone around here, but I love love love my version of it and if anyone has the flavors I'd love some feedback.
LA banana cream 6%
Blueberry Wild tfa 3%
INW Dragonfruit 1.5%
Tfa Strawberry 6%
