Weekly 'Suggest a Recipe for my Flavors' Thread - Week of October 16, 2015
submitted almost 10 years ago by AutoModerator

Got a bunch of flavors but not sure how to make them work together? Post your list here, and our team of semi-professional mixologists will make suggestions for you! If you are impatient and want to do this on your own, here are a couple of good links:

  • /u/daath has a nice website that has this functionality, but you will need to register to make it work. It is not very intuitive but if you work with it you can input your flavors and get a list of recipes that you can make. IMO this is the better site if you have the patience to make it work for you. Edit2: to get this to work, first set up an account. Then add your flavors to the stash (under my page / my flavor stash). hit save. Then go back to the front page and click the link next to the search field, "Search by flavor stash". You can select a couple of your flavors and recipes that have those will pop up.
  • This site has a nice big search button with just what you're looking for.

Happy Mixing!

Steeping needed or tolerable shake and vape?

Definitely could shake n vape - but custard needs a few days to come together. I would say 2-3 days and shes ready to rip.

Here's my list of flavors. I got another shipment in I still need to catalog though. But I'm sure someone's got a nice recipe with the ones I got listed here so far.

Thanks

Pro-tip - you dont need an account or anything to upload to imgur and its super quick and honestly a cleaner and better image host

Is it part of Reddit or something? I'm super new to Reddit and it's still kinda confusing to me... This sub is basically the only reason I signed up for it. I use it on my phone with the Alien Blue app most of the time, but when I wanna move quick and type long stuff I try to use the PC.

The main reason I used Flickr for that particular link was because I have the Flickr app on my iPhone and it's set to automatically upload any picture on my phone to the Flickr site.... So any picture I have on my phone I can instantly link\show\post wherever.

IIRC it was made by a reddit user and it's favored by many reddit or because it's very clean and reliable. Also, the urls are nice and short and ir rarely has any server issues. Its basically the image sharer designed for reddit. It's not like mandatory that you use it, but it's just the standard and works well with apps like alien blue or RES for desktop users

I made my first diy order last week, here's what I got (all capella):

French vanilla Creamy yoghurt Juicy orange Juicy lemon Banana

I've tried a couple of variations but I've pretty much aimlessly thrown them together. Suggestions welcome.

Reddit formatting is weird... Use "* item 1" at the beginning of lines to created bulleted lists so... FTFY

  • CAP French Vanilla
  • CAP Cream Yoghurt
  • CAP Juicy Orange
  • CAP Juicy Lemon
  • CAP Banana

I've had personal success with a lemon cream recipe that incorporates juicy lemon, and i'm assuming you have more than just those flavorings (?) so here mine:

  • CAP Juicy Lemon - 6%
  • TFA Bavarian Cream - 3.5%
  • FA Vienna Cream 2%
  • FA Sweet Cream 2%

But you can pretty much run with this style as much as you so like

  • CAP Juicy Lemon ~6%
  • Main Cream Note ~3-4%
  • Accent Note 1 (Maybe French Vanilla) ~1-2%
  • Accent Note 2 ~1-2%

I'm personally unfamiliar with Juicy Orange, but if its a sweet flavor, it could see using it as accent note 2 at like 2.5%

Thanks very much for this. What I mentioned is the full extent of my flavour stock, I definitely have more shopping to do, and creams are top of my list.
