VG for another use! GNAT TERMINATOR! (totally not DIY just helpful VG info)
submitted almost 10 years ago by DrMclovensThe Mad Alchemist

So I heard about this and figured I would never need to try it out. but alas I got a bag of onions, one was rotten and gnat infested and of course, as we all know...it got bad...fast

too my surprise, simply leaving out a Styrofoam cup full of VG all day while at work...I came back to a graveyard of gnats in a cup. AWESOME!

The sweetness attracts them, and the VG is WAY too thick for them to fly out of once in.

A few of these buggers left flying around. But I think another "batch" of VG (see what I did there? huehue) will do the trick over night...I hope.

Hope that helps you sometime...but hopefully you don't have to do this EVER

I hate these "buggers" (oh god...there I go again...Ok I'm done)

We do ACV and a small layer of dish soap and lemon juice on top. cover the top with plastic wrap and poke holes in it; insures the little fuckers never escape and die a horrible, horrible death.

I wonder if this could be used next summer to kill off all the bugs. VG+sucralose=dead bugs?

probably most of them that are attracted to sweetness. like ants and such.

I do something similar.

Just make a simple sugar mixture of 1 cup of water to 1 cup of sugar and leave it out.
