Oh, neat! An hour long commercial for a company one of the mods works for!
Which company is that? Which moderator is that?
I don't work for Flavorah -- Brendan & I talk from time to time & he occasionally sends me testers of new flavors, but that's all. I'd also challenge you to find anything in that episode that qualifies as promotion for Cloudmaker, or even any discussion of CMT's products, for that matter. Of course, you'd have to watch it first.
Sorry it took me a while to get this posted! The episode was awesome & Brendan was a fantastic guest, so I'm really pleased to be able to share it with you guys here in /r/DIY_ejuice. Before I forget, the Flavorah discount code for 20% off from the show is: MAKERTALK2015 (good til New Years). Enjoy! I recommend checking out some of the recipes in the Flavorah recipes thread if you like (some of mine aren't half bad)...
Not only was there some fascinating conversation during the episode, we also enjoyed a lively discussion with some of the afterparty guests too. While discussing how Flavorah could be more responsive to the community, we came up with some great ideas together. For example, I'll be contributing blog content to Flavorah's website on flavor science & mixing, as well as a collection of Flavorah-only recipe articles I've been developing to help new DIYers get into mixing more easily if they choose FLV flavors. Brendan also agreed to work on producing more detailed MSDS/component breakdowns for Flavorah flavors in the near future, and posting them on the Safety section of the site.
Personally, I tend to recommend FLV to new folks because of their lineup's simplicity, generally-consistent quality & vape-specific design improve newbies' odds of making decent juice sooner in the learning process, but I also think Flavorah has a lot to offer more experienced folks like myself who are interested in /r/Deeper_DIY topics & have sophisticated concerns like inhalation safety research. Brendan also teased us some new flavors, including a Chocolate (finally, a good one?!), and the afterparty yielded some pretty great new flavor suggestions too (cough A GOOD FRUIT LOOPS cough)... =P
One other note: I put a lot of work into this new format, as did my co-hosts /u/blitz206 & /u/RobinOfReddit, and I think it turned out pretty well over all, for the first episode we've done after the revamping. I know I'm not exactly Screen Actor's Guild material -- I get extremely anxious on camera in general, so I apologize for my twitchy, autistic 'charm'... I'm working on that. That aside, we created this show not because we felt like the world needs another vape review & drama discussion chat, or a forum to advertise more commercial products & juices, but rather to focus on promoting the DIY/maker community in the vaping that we love so much, from DIY e-liquids to building/customizing your own Hammond boxes, to simply trying new and unique coil builds.
The grassroots community that we've got here in /r/DIY_ejuice is something special, and some of the 'craft' e-juices posted here are world-class. I hope to feature some of you guys with those talents on future episodes on the Flavor of the Week segment that I introduced in this episode, and I'll be working on figuring out the best way to submit/nominate recipes for the show over the weekend... I also need to ask the other mods what they think is appropriate, but I'd like to hear your thoughts as well... ^Please ^be ^^nice ^^to ^^^me...
Thanks for watching and helping us improve, and special thanks to Brendan for taking the time to come on with us & talk about an issue that's extremely important to me.
I am absolutely loving the flavors I got in my first order from Flavorah, however, there were some mistakes on my order and I never got the milk & honey I ordered. I talked to someone about correcting the order and they assured me it would be fixed and I haven't heard anything since.... I think it's been a couple of weeks now. I made a second order (just a couple of days before this promo code was posted :-P ) and I got a confirmation and tracking number. Still.... I haven't heard anything about the correction for the first order. What's up with that?
Can't say, as I don't work for FLV or have anything to do with their internal operations... I'm just a supporter & a DIY geek. You'd have to talk to their CS, but if you haven't heard back, send another message. I know from my own startup experience that it can be hectic & stuff does get overlooked.
Hey, he wants to send some honey to /u/skiddlzninja for review. :)
For anyone new, here is the thread in question. A video worth watching in all of it's agony.
I'd do it.
This is actually the video that not only got me into diy, but actually into vaping. During the process of this descent into the worst vaping experience, you drop a lot of useful and insightful information, including how you choose equipment, how to examine flavor, how to mix and what you should (and should not) expect out of the vaping experience. I think I watched this just before my first trip to a B&M.
Brendan is a true hero! Besides the fact that his flavor are some of the BEST in the business he is a damn good dude! He has my FULL respect after yesterday he sent me HIS FULL FLAVOR LINE FREE!! THAT'S RIGHT PROBONO! Why? Because he is init for the VAPER! This give me they ability to implement his flavors in my ejuice line. Distributor's TAKE NOTES! Brendan has became they ALL STAR of THE YEAR. He has given they average Juicehead they ability to make some juice that blows these big name company's out of the water. Hats off to you Brendan keep up the work, because its making you a LEGEND! Gerri
A Legend ? Probably a nice guy though . Hey, if he sent me his entire line for free i would say some very nice stuff about him as well .
You don't need to post that the free juice had nothing to do with your opinion , i expect to hear that , it's not necessary.
And you proabily get not free because your a dick
I am free to say as I wish, and obviously you haven't had much of his flavor. PS If you want I can arrange a wiener for you to suck.
