So, graham cracker! (no this isn't one of my flavouring posts). Could it be the super secret, super breakout flavour of 2015? It is a key ingredient (along with AP) in my personal ADV, Tribeca (clone). It's creeping into more and more eliquid recipes. Cooks and chefs are going gah gah over adding it as a little booster ingredient in a lot of different dishes. And some top shelf bartenders I know are incorporating the essence or crumbs into some interesting cocktails.
Now Starbucks... (sigh), their new fall flavour is the Toasted Graham Latte.
EDIT - I screwed up the title. Should read: Graham Cracker: the breakout (but still stealthy) flavour of 2015?
Full disclosure. I may, or may not be working of a flavouring guide for graham cracker ;)
Ive never even had a Graham Cracker and its one of my favs, especially Cheesecake Graham Crust TFA.
What do mean u never had a ghram cracker? so you never had a smore either
Im not American, and just never came across them in New Zealand lol. I would forsure buy them if I ever saw some in store.
I feel like I should gift you a box of graham crackers. It was always a pantry staple. Perfect on their own but most commonly used in smore's, sometimes as a pie crust, ice cream and other sweets. It's a very unique flavor. Just a touch of honey, sometimes cinnamon. Light, crunchy, addicting.
So about that Tribeca clone...
It's very similar to the one commonly found online (with AP and Graham cracker). I've mainly tweaked the percentages. This is a 60% PG recipe. I normally do zero nic, but this one I have to do at 6mg because... well I like it better with the 6. I might work on it more to see if I can get the nic's TH, spiciness boost without using nic, down the road.
- 10% Ethyl Maltol Solution: 1.5%
- Acetyl Pyrazine 5%: 1.25%
- Graham Cracker (Clear) (TPA): 2%
- RY4 Double (TPA) 10%
Needs a solid, solid 2 week steep. Or a 4hr hot water bath then a few days to steep. I mix this up in 100ml batches, I like it so much (and I use it as a base for other stuff)
I have seen Graham cracker in so many recipes. It's the flavor everyone should have. here is my Twisted Tribeca vape I always have on hand.
•RY4 Double (TPA) 10%
•Acetyl Pyrazine 5%: 1%
•Graham Cracker (Clear) (TPA): 2%
•Butterscotch (TPA) 2%
The butterscotch has plenty of EM and helps make the caramel in the ry4 double pop.
Please do s Graham cracker guide!
Add Capella Graham cracker to everything at 0.5%. Go up to 1-2% for more awesomeness although the graham cracker and cinnamon start to stand out a lot more
Is CAP Graham Cracker good? I have the TPA clear stuff, but that's it.
