So I've been slacking on the DIY thing lately, just been lazy and busy so I've been vaping through my reserves. Finally running low and decided to whip up a test batch real quick. After a whole mess of problems (VG bottle cap snapping, nicotine bottle stopper falling in the bottle, and loads of transferring liquids into other containers), I finally got this damn 10ml taste test bottle finished.
Here's the current recipe, and even after just a quick shake, it tastes pretty damn good. Hopefully it gets even better with a steep. Let me know what you think, and maybe where I should go with it for the next batch. Cheers!
NEW CEREAL - 10ml
PG/VG - 20/80
Nic - 3mg
INGREDIENTS
PG - 5.8% at 0.57ml
VG - 75% at 7.50 ml
Nic base - 6.3% at 0.63ml
TFA Fruit Circles - 2% at 0.20ml
TFA Berry Crunch - 1% at 0.10ml
TFA Silly Rabbit - 2% at 0.20ml
TFA Bavarian Cream - 2.5% at 0.25ml
TFA Whipped Cream - 2% at 0.20ml
TFA Marshmallow - 1.5% at 0.15ml
TFA Strawberry Ripe - 2% at 0.20ml
I don't math very well, but ..
20/80 ?
75% VG + 6.3% nic (assuming 100% VG) = 81.3%
Flavor total at 13%, so PG should be at 7% (not 5.8%)
Sorry, should have put the nicotine in there. It's an 80vg/20pg nic base
If your nic is VG based, you end up with 81.3% VG and 18.8% PG. If it's PG based, you end up with 75% VG and 25.1% PG. While only slightly off, you still have an error in there. And either way, it's not 80/20,
looks solid the biggest thing with these cereal vapes is how will it taste in a week 2 weeks and 3 weeks. from the looks of this its not over crowded and should be ok
Thanks! And yeah, the last two cereal vapes I made tastes good at firstx then shitty agree a week. Not sure what the culprit is. I have a hunch it's the berry crunch flavour. Because I use Silly Rabbit and Fruit Circles in my other recipes in small doses for added flavour and it always gets better in time.
Have you tried the Silly Rabbit at a lower percentage? I find it extremely strong. I have a similar recipe but the SR is at 0.4%. Not only that but the Circles and Crunch are higher in that recipe and I can still taste the rabbit, it's just in the background. I bet at 1% it would still be up front. Just a guess. Looks good though!
Personally cant stand the fruit circles, but the fruit circles with milk -still tfa- is a whole new ballpark.
So you like the fruit circles with milk? I am running low on fruit circles and was thinking of picking up the FC with milk to try it. What flavour differences do you notice?
To me the regular fruit circles tastes like nothing but a chemical lemon, me (and several vape pals) all get a very fruit loop flavor out of fruit circles w/ milk. It tastes very much like the cereal and tbh ill vape it as a standalone sometimes!
