I've been experimenting with TFA's coconuts in fractional percentages to add background body and mouthfeel for about a month now. I ordered FLV's coconut to continue that process and discovered a few things:
- FLV Coconut is delicious.
- FLV Coconut is a real tasting coconut.
- FLV Coconut is exceptionally strong.
There is no suntan oil here, no coconut candy, no flowery nothing. If you over do it, you just have coconut, like you'd cracked one open and taken a deep swig of the liquid and chewed a bit of the meat. Recipe I'm working on below.
Tahiti V2
Ingredient|% :---|---: Bavarian Cream (TPA)|4 Coconut (Flavorah)|0.3 Cured Tobacco (Flavorah)|3
- Bitter Wizard - 1 drop per 10ml
- MTS Vape Wizard - 1 drop per 5ml
Flavor total: 7.3%
Edit: Posted mg measurement for coconut instead of % measurement, completely undermining the point of my post.
I've been eyeing FLV coconut for a while.
Seems like that would make it a little difficult to work with though. I guess I could dilute some of it in PG to make it easier to work with for smaller test batches?
Flavorah was the one coconut I couldn't get from ecigexpress or wizard labs, I guess I'll do one more order. Coconut is the reason I'm getting into diy!
Are the Bitter Wizard and MTS Vape Wizard aromas?
Bitter wizard reduces the sweetness (or the perception of sweetness) contributed by VG.
Vape Wizard mellows/blends flavors and provides additional body/mouthfeel to the recipe.
Both are more common with tobaccos than other recipes, which can use sweetness and provide body in other ways.
By your description above, Bitter Wizard only works to reduce VG-derived sweetness? Or does it reduce overall sweetness in the mix? Sorry, just a bit confused here
It adds a note of bitterness calculated to counteract VG sweetness.
Of course, you can't just apply vanilla to the banana or the custard, everything affects the whole mix, but BW's intended use is to reduce the perception of sweetness provided by VG. Using it beyond that point can lead to muting flavors and off tastes.
