Flavors that give you heartburn!
submitted almost 10 years ago by Kebabzii

The flavors that give me heartburn are citrus flavors (not tart or sour, just citrus) and cinnamon. Oh my god, Cinnamon for me is the worst.

I mixed up the INTERNAL LEAK Unicorn Milk recipe, and even though the graham cracker (which have a cinnamon note) is 0.5%, I still get heartburn :/

What are your nemesis flavors?

Heartburn is most likely caused by too much fat (or the wrong kinds of fat) in your diet. If it's a chronic problem, you should see your doctor.

Vaping only exacerbates the problem; it does not cause it.

Heartburn can also have triggers, like spicy food or fatty foods. I'm with you there.

I actually meant flavor triggers, not the cause :P

I certainly agree vaping can make heartburn seem much worse. Same with spices... gives your reflux a flavour. But the cause is almost always dietary fat.

The few times I had heartburn, the flavour of my vape didn't matter. All flavours were equally bad.

I'd argue this point to eternity (save the see a dr. part)

Not a doctor, but I believe smoking can cause/worsen acid reflux. It is due to the nicotine. I guess the same would hold true for vaping?

I'm currently at 6 mg, think I will lower it to 3 mg soon.

If 3 isn't enough for you try out 4mg. I felt like stepping down awhile back but have always hated 3mg, feels like inhaling flavored air to me. So I went one mg at a time and 4 seems perfect for me and my friends, no more heartburn and still a bit of throat hit.

Peanut butter. Although it isn't a problem unless my nic is too high. Too much nicotine can trigger heart burn.

The worst for me is TFA Green Apple! I love the flavor, but I always have to eat tums later on

I totally forgot about FA's Apples. They smell amazing, but they are super strong, even at 1%.

Heartburn from vaping? That's news to me, and I have horrible, horrible heartburn all the time. I get heartburn from eating pretty much anything, and haven't gotten it at all from vaping, even when vaping strong cinnamon flavors and whatnot.

I think it has something to do what Nstewart said. That my nic is to high even though it's only 6 mg :P

But I can always expect heartburn when the vape contains cinnamon/citrus/very strong flavor.

Yea, that's pretty damn odd. I can eat bread and still get heartburn, but don't get it from any flavors. Even when I was a DIY noob and somehow vaping Cinnamon Danish Swirl at 20%, no heartburn.

I have to admit that I eat a lot of fatty foods (I'm underweight, so trying to gain weight) but didn't experience heartburn until I started smoking when I was 16. It's been with me ever since. So tired of having to take Omeprazole.....
