I just ordered a shit ton of shit, so its all or nothing for me. But so far what I am reading is to start off small, so I was curious if you can add like .5-1% flavor a little at a time in order to craft the liquid I want. I know about the recommended flavor percentages but I was thinking about adding lemon and or lime flavors to some fruit vapes to make them pop more, Kinda like what Adirondack does. Not sure if this is worth the time savings or is it just worth it to make an entirely new batch.
If you need to be OCD math nerd, here's the process:
- Weigh empty bottle. Write on recipe note card.
- Weigh full bottle of recipe. Write on recipe note card.
- If adding to recipe later, weigh current semi-full bottle weight.
- Weigh what you're adding.
Use maths to figure out new flavor percentage.
Sure why not? There isnt a rule that says "you must know the exact flavor percentages for each batch" or really a rule for anything in vaping.
Should have added a little more flavor to that batch? Just add a little extra to your current bottle so you dont waste it and make a note of it next time you make it to increase the %
Awesome that is what I thought. How would it effect the steeping? Lets say if a batch was already a week old? Just let it sit a few more days?
Yes, it's highly recommended to use lowest TOTAL flavoring %. Some of mine are less than 5%, most are less than 15%. I just picked up my first INW fruit, raspberry. At 1% it is up front and center.
And yes to tweaking an existing batch. Just take good notes, so you can duplicate it.
Welcome!
I wouldn't after a long age....flavors won't have the same feel
Right after the build, you can tweak it a bit but a shake and vape will have different flavor notes than one that has aged for 3 months.
I am trying this right now with "Two Apples" flavor by Inawera, mixing with Waterrmellon and Sweet Strawberry and Cactus
Really trying to get a good feel for the Two Apples, so far its pretty awesome build, but not quite there, gonna give it another week to sit
