Mint without the kick
submitted almost 10 years ago by smoakleyyyMixologist

I'm trying to create a minty vape that is more akin to the mint ice cream flavor sans chocolate. Does anyone know of a minty flavor that does not have the minty sinus clearing kick -or- know of flavor combos that would mask it? The closest I've come is cap cool mint with a touch of cap whipped cream and vanilla custard but it's still not what I'm shooting for. Any ideas?

What brand? I've tried flv creme de menthe but it's very strong. Cool mint has been one of the weaker mints I've tried while retaining the minty flavor.

I use TPA CDM quite often, its like a sweet chewing-gum-styled mint without much of a menthol kick.

FLV CDM however tastes like After Eight (mint-chocolate) to me.

I'd go with INW for a more realistic mint note.

I have Flavor west. I only use it in my thin mint and it's only around 2 percent

INW eucalyptus mint. I hate vaping menthol, but this flavor is so unbelievable clean and tasty.

What does eucalyptus add? Is it like a floral mint? Their honey has a really nice floral hint to it.

INWs Eucalyptus w/ Mint is just eucalyptus flavour plus their Mint flavour. Semi-floral. Reminds me of Kaktus a little bit, but still quite different.

Not quite floral, just juicy and smooth.

It tastes like one of those eucalyptus cough drops.

Still a touch strong but not nearly as much as a menthol. Their mint chocolate chip is pretty mellow though.

Koolada!

I thought koolada adds to the menthol-y-ness of a juice. I'm looking for a sweeter creamier less "bitey" mint.

Koolada is a chilling effect, like menthol, but without the menthol flavour.

What you're looking for is INW Mint.

Will buy this next to try. Exactly why I decided to ask the community so I didn't buy 5 more mints that ended up being the same and to narrow down the ones to try.

Everyone says koolada is like menthol but without the flavor, but I never really noticed much cooling with it. It was actually disappointing haha. I was looking for the kick in the throat of inhaling ice but it was more like a tiny bit cooler than room temp. Is that just me, or is it distinctly weaker than menthol?
