I asked Phil a couple months back if he would be interested in doing DIY and making a video about it since he is one of the most visible reviewers who could reach a wide audience. He said "Nah, I don't have time" and basically brushed aside the idea. Since he gets tons of juice for free, I figured he would never be interested.
Well, tonight he was on a YouTube stream and had this to say. I wonder if his trip to FA's facilities changed his mind. He also hinted he might start his own liquid line at some point as well (though he didn't confirm it, just said it's a possibility).
That man has the longest reviews... Too much if you ask me
I agree, but they do serve a purpose. If I am planning on buying something and he has a review of it, I'll watch the whole thing, and know pretty much everything about it. If it's just an interesting piece of vape gear, I'll skip through it. I have not watched any of his videos(or anyone's for that matter) in a while but they usually follow the same format so it's easy to jump around and get what I need from it.
Phil is a very nice and honest guy, my friend and I personally spoke with him at the first Vape Summit in Vegas. I must admit that I kind of laughed when they started talking DIY with him as he displayed the same kind of clueless excitement that my uncle did when I took away his flip phone and gave him my old Nexus tablet and HTC M7. I am sure with the right guidance he could learn, and I know for a fact that few people have tasted more juices than he has. However, I honestly do not think he has the time to master DIY at a level that he would be happy with. Now I do think he could do great things in a director type role over a group of experienced mixers, this is something that I would like to see.
