Try some TFA Strawberry. Could've sworn I sensed it almost immediately as I have a borderline hatred towards the flavor and can pick it out pretty easily. Could be wrong and may be something with the same green stem-y nuance, but worth a shot. Definitely a small amount if it is, maybe 1-2%
I've been trying to make this since fizzles released his line. And I think the flavors your missing is pineapple. I couldn't taste it but I certainly could smell it.
Because I don't have many cream flavors I've only used cap sweet cream. This is my take...
Tfa pear 5%
Lime cold pressed. 1% (in positive another lime is at play with c.p
Inw pineapple 1.5 or 1%
Mango 1-2%
Cap sweet cream 3-4%
I've subbed the mango with other flavors that would soften the harshness of the lime and mango at low % does this without interrupting the overall flavor.
Hope this helps
Fucking Fontana. It's so good.
I'm interested to see where this goes. Based on what I had read about INW Kaktus I thought maybe it was in there but after trying it just now I'm thinking not. There's something juicy and transparent in Fontana that pulls it together for me. I don't have the damn gelato or I would help with this. I feel like the flavors are very light and there's no discernible vanilla (to me). For me, the lightness of the profile is what makes it so magical and ADV-able.
I haven't tried Fontana, but I read that Vanilla Bean Ice Cream has a creamier, fuller flavor than the Gelato, could that be what you need?
I've been wondering about FA Marshmallow since it's a little sweeter, which i kinda get in fontana. Total guess, but i may play around with it.
Smelling the bottle of Fontana with a few mLs left, I feel like there is not that much TFA Pear in it. Maybe used as an accent. I'm thinking maybe a small amount of Coconut Extra, by small i mean 0.1-0.25%
I don't have Vanilla Bean Gelato on VBIC not sure how far they are from one another, but I don't get much of that either. I do think an earthy taste you are getting could be a very small amount of TFA Strawberry? maybe 0.5%
I'm trying my own recipe based off of what you have and I'll let you know how mine turns out.
I call it Pearadox. It was inspired by Artifact's Fontana. I haven't tried it yet, but after reading the flavor description, I went for it.
• FA Pear 3%
• TFA Pear 2%
• FA Lime Tahiti .33%
• INW Lime .5%
• CAP Sweet Cream 1%
• FA Fresh Cream 1%
• CAP Marshmallow 1%
The lime comes through a little stronger than I'd like. INW is fucking strong, so I'd probably drop that down to .25% next round. I'm still really enjoying this though.
I just posted this on the monthly recipe thread. Looks like we're on the same page with a few ingredients.
