Thanks! I didn't see that part!

No problem! I actually just re-read the email and it stated Friday September 24.......so I'm assuming it's good until tomorrow?

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Probably til midnight.

It's almost 2 weeks and I have not received my sample. Is this normal?

2 points

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Im not sure. Have you contacted them?

1 points

by xXwhite_whaleXxabout 10 years ago

No I have not. I just figured it was normal since it was only a sample. Seems like it's been stuck in San Francisco since the 18th.

Typical nude nicotine. I used to love their base...but their shipping and processing times are ridiculous.

1 points

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

I doubt that's normal. Wish I could get a sample. I only like small amounts at a time.

Fantastic. Basically an airtight grommet seal you push your needle into.

1 points

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Yes!!! How awesome is that?

1 points

by iwillnoteatgreeneggsabout 10 years ago

Changes the game for me. I can order larger supply now.

1 points

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Yes! I thought that was a really good idea.

thanks for the post /u/ vapingrammy! The syringes are luer-SLIP however (the lock portion is only necessary for needle attachments which aren't necessary here). The slip tips will pierce the septum just fine!

1 points

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Lol I got part of it right. Gonna order me some payday!

1 points

by snapshotdodabout 10 years ago

Does the storage protection decrease once you have to take some out? By putting air in like with med bottles?

1 points

by NudeNicotineabout 10 years ago

Not at all! The septum reseals itself shut immediately as the syringe tip is removed. A slightly higher vacuum develops inside the bottle, but the rigid glass and top will withstand the vacuum created by a single displaced internal volume well.

by snapshotdodabout 10 years ago

thanks for the response. So, when you draw liquid out, your just draw it straight out without displacing the liquid with air?

1 points

by noit21about 10 years ago

So it basically has a needless positive displacement valve on the bottle? Similar to Caresite or Ultrasite valves or similar technology valves...

I know right?!

by cali_vaprabout 10 years ago

So wait you're telling me that now the nic will come in bottles that are sealed by the rubber gromet like medicine is packaged? So that it's all ways tightly sealed. If this is true, that would awesome!

1 points

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Yes that's what I'm telling you! 😄 or that's what I understood it comes with the Luer something or other and I saw a needle.

I wish I could get some in Canada.

1 points

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Oh, they can't ship there?

1 points

by ilikeycoffeeabout 10 years agoExtractor

Nope - Canada Customs / Health Canada will seize it at the border.

1 points

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Dang! They're making it difficult!

1 points

by Ellisglbrtabout 10 years ago

Would you need a sharp syringe to pierce the top or would it just be an opening to fit in a blunt syringe? I've just run out of nic and was looking to re-up

1 points

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

I'm not sure, just skimmed the email but /u/NudeNicotine can tell you.

1 points

by NudeNicotineabout 10 years ago

you have it exactly right! blunt syringe gets inserted through the opening and reseals itself around it, no needle needed :)

Does the 500ml armor v2 ship in 4x 125ml bottles?

1 points

by NudeNicotineabout 10 years ago

no sir this is a single bottle unlike the argon purged multiple aliquot variation that is the v1 :)

1 points

by Ellisglbrtabout 10 years ago

Awesome I know what I'm getting next then, great idea.

Is freezer storage still recommended? If so, how will taking it out and allowing to come to room temperature for shaking purposes affect long term storage.

1 points

by NudeNicotineabout 10 years ago

freezer still highly recommended, this is to eliminate oxygen exchange over the meniscus of the nicotine base :)

1 points

by TickTockTypoabout 10 years ago

fyi, you can buy the bottle caps to do this seperatly.

1 points

by emansticabout 10 years ago

So, /u/vapingrammy...not too discouraged if you're order more nic, I guess. You had any better luck since all the suggestions the other day?

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Yep! Everything is coming up roses for right now! Lol

NN have answered my call. i still want to try vape clarity though. what's a boy to do.

1 points

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Do both. Vape Clarity is good stuff too!

ELI5: This new product is going to be vacuum sealed. Meaning negative pressure inside right? If so, how is someone going to be able to get any liquid out without relieving that pressure?

1 points

by a11enabout 10 years ago

Worse, is that there's always a leak rate on any pressure vessel. With a negative pressure, leaks will suck air/oxygen into the bottle over time. With a positive pressure of inert gas like Ar, leaks would happen out of the vessel, reducing diffusion into it, and also likely keep more out longer. Eventually, it would be exactly the same pressure as the atmosphere, but be filled with inert gas. (diffusion through the leak would still happen due to chemical potential difference etc.). So, I suspect over time we'll learn these bottles last shorter time frames, but have the very nice convenience of having a port that can be used to dose out volumes of liquid. (This of course could still be done with the Ar pressurized bottles using cannula between septums.)

I don't know maybe we replace it with something I don't know I just barely read the email.

by last-resort-usernameabout 10 years ago

One would use a syringe. First you fill the syringe with air then you place the end of it in the container. You then force the air in and which forces the liquid back into the syringe... or at least that's how emergency glucose shots and insulin work.

1 points

by PacificBlisterabout 10 years ago

Quick question. Wouldn't this be introducing air into the nicotine bottle? I thought the point was to keep the nicotine solution void of air. I think I'm a little confused.

1 points

by last-resort-usernameabout 10 years ago

It would totally introduce some air into the bottle. There isn't really much any other get something out if a bottle than replacing it with something else.
