Just did my first mix by weight.

So easy it almost takes the fun out of it.

So I did 5 more in like 10 minutes, threw away a handful of pipettes, and didn't have to clean up anything. That put the fun back into it.

Just switched too and it's simply amazing. Most likely gonna mix a buttload tomorrow night :).

can I ask what size pipettes do you use. I mix 60 ml bottles and all I can find are 3ml pipettes. Do they have 10ml or even 20ml ones somewhere?

Put all your flavours in Dripper bottles and forget the pipettes even better.

I put my vg into a chocolate dripping bottle and life has never been easier.

I just went and bought two of those kitchen squeeze bottles last night, to use for VG and PG. I am hoping it will be a lot easier than having to free pour everything.

I can see below you already figured it out. Pipettes for nic base and flavor without drip bottles, big squeeze containers for VG/PG. I use 1ml pipettes from Amazon.

I use a needle tipped bottle (electrical tape covering the outside to keep it fresh) for my nicotine, no need for any pipettes at all that way :D

why do people mix by weight rather than just use percentages and a juice calculator app/website?

We are using percentages and a juice calculator. It tells us exactly how many hundredths of a gram to add. That's more accurate than you eyeballing your syringe and we have nothing to wash afterwards.

It's way easier. The tare button does your counting for you, and there are no measuring devices to clean. You can just chain mix.

It's also more precise, if your scale is accurate and your pipette drops are small.

seems odd when I can just rinse syringes between mixes and just squirted away

I've yet to hear about anyone switching to weight and going back to volume - the whole process is faster, cleaner, easier, more precise and far more repeatable to me.

That being said, if you're happy with your method, there's no need to change on my account. :)

that sounds like extra work. and you could be getting water or whatever you rinse with in your flavor bottle too as well, granted a little at a time but it is still getting contaminates you cant see in the flavor.its so much easier to just squirt it all in the same bottle. takes like 30 secs to mix a bottle up easy

I assure you it's much easier. There is a table somewhere with exact weight to the thousandth but generally 1ml=1g. So its like using a digital weight syringe.

Our scale will arrive today, and we can't wait to try it. We already have plans to buy a second one if we like it as much as everyone here does. I guess then our first real post will be to sell our of our other supplies we will no longer need. ;) can't wait!
