I can safely say I'll never be ordering nicotine from MFS ever again. I have been working with 100mg/max VG nic from them for almost a month now, and every single bottle of juice comes out feeling too harsh. For a 30ml bottle with 3mg nic, you add .9ml of 100mg base. Simple enough, right? With MFS nic, it comes out feeling like 6mg or possibly higher. From what I've googled, I haven't found anyone else with this problem which leads me to believe I'm one of few that got a pretty bad batch. I just ordered a titration kit to test it out and see what it really is. Don't have a lot of money to order more either, so I'll have to suck it up until I finish the bottle and order more from somewhere else, probably 2 months or so from now. I should also note I have been keeping this in the freezer since day one.
Are you shaking it up really well before syringing it? Nic floats instead of sinking. You could be pulling super concentrated nic into the syringe.
Did it start out super harsh? Is it clear or is it a pink color? What color was it when you received it? I have been using MFS nic for about 6 months now and I haven't had any of these problems. I ordered a liter and broke it down to glass bottles and stuck them in freezer. So you may have gotten a bad batch or it has oxidized.
It has been harsh since the day I got it. It is mostly clear, but does have a slightly yellowish tint. It has always had minimal exposure to air as well. The first bottle I mixed with it I thought I messed up the amount I put in, no big deal. Mixed another one, same thing. I always shoot for about .4-.5ml of it when mixing 3mg 30ml bottles now, and even that tends to be too much.
Hmm I would email them and tell them about it they will probably work something out with you. Other than that it doesn't sound like it could be anything other than a bad batch. I would get a titration kit though and check it. I've been meaning to do this my self but always forget...
My very first bottle of nic was MFS, 1000ml of 100mg 100% PG. I couldnt pass up the deal they had on it. When I received it it was slightly pink in color and hasnt changed color since. I also make sure it stays refridgerated. So I experienced similar things, I also mixed up a 6mg 30ml bottle and it feels harsh to me. My buddy also said the same thing and I now mix his juice at 4mg. Im new to DIY so I dont know any difference. I would love to see test results if you have them. I also heard that MFS gets there nic from wizard labs and just resells it.
Maybe it was only harsh because you use 100% PG for the nic?
I didnt think that would matter much...
So, do you need to keep your supplies in the fridge or freezer, or is that just something you can do? Sorry, I am a noob and just starting out so I want to get it right :)
I had the same problem around a year ago i think. I no longer purchase from MFS. Everything is over priced anyway. I used it in a tobacco recipe until it was gone. It tasted like black pepper and the throat hit was ungodly harsh but it work for that tobacco recipe. I used the Nude Armor stuff from Nude Nicotine now.
