I've never used vanilla swirl as a main ingredient, in fact, I've never tried to make vanilla the dominant note in a juice before. Vanilla Swirl does get added to a lot of my mixes as a sweetener/creamer type flavor. It's one of my favorite filler concentrates.

It's vanilla custard without the custard notes.

van swirl is a decent vanilla flavor to me, but mainly adds more creaminess than anything. I feel like I couldn't really taste vanilla for a long time. Went through countless vanillas, FA's 3, Inw classic, van swirl, french vanilla, more. The best I have found so far is INW Shisha Vanilla. I can taste it for sure. 1% is pretty dominate, .5% is good for ry4 type mixes (still a little strong though). Give it a shot if you are able, you won't be disappointed.

I went through all my Vanilla Bean Ice Cream first, am planning on going through this and Bavarian Cream next. Vanilla Swirl worked great for me in a Chai Tea recipe I made, but the vanilla wasn't the star. VBIC is stronger, IMO.

Vanilla Swirl is a great ingredient to have on hand to add depth to a flavor. That earthiness come from a hint of vanilla bean flavor in there, along with the mellow vanillas. Use it as an additive in creams to add sweetness and a deeper vanilla. Works best with unflavored creams like FA fresh cream and TFA Sweet Cream.

I mainly use it too bring vanilla into a fruit mix and sweeten everything and bring everything into unison.

anything you want fruity and creamy it will work great IMO...usually at least.

It's an easy source of ethyl vanillin, which is the chemical that separates "cheap artificial vanilla flavoring," from "decent artificial vanilla flavoring." As others have said, it's a great mixer, especially if you want to add vanilla to a custard.

As someone else mentioned, I would give Vanilla Bean Ice Cream a shot, I haven't had a chance to try swirl yet but I flew through VBIC in almost every recipe I've made since I got that bottle. Look up the fizz mustard recipe, you can pretty much substitute anything else for the strawberry and as long as it goes somewhat good with vanilla it should come out pretty good.

Thank you all for your responses, looks as though my experience pretty well matches with everyone else's so I guess I'll just keep using it as I have been which has been working well for me. It is a pretty useful flavour, I suppose I was just wanting too much out of it.

I don't think I've ever used it over 2 or 2.5%. I love it though. Goes in a lot very nicely.

It's an OK vanilla blend, but my personal favorites is FA Vanilla Tahiti as a single flavor Vanilla. I find it's best to blend several vanillas to keep from having a metallic taste.
