As a kid, every fall, my family and I would head up to an Orchard in North Carolina and get some apples. We'd slice them up, toss them in a skillet with some butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar. I really wanted a pear vape when this came to mind so I went with that instead, but that's where the inspiration came from.
Skillet Pears
-
FA Pear 3%
-
FA Fuji Apple 1%
-
FA Almond 1%
-
FA Caramel 1.5%
-
FA Catalan Cream 1.5%
-
FA Fresh Cream .5%
-
TFA Brown Sugar .5%
-
TFA Horchata .5%
Yeah...I know. You're all wondering why the fuck I put Horchata in there, right? That was the only cinnamon flavor I had other than CAP CDS, and I didn't want that pastry flavor in there. Even at .5%, it comes off strong but mellows out after an overnight steep. I'm sure it would be better with a dedicated cinnamon concentrate such FLV's. I wanted a slight creaminess so I went with catalan cream due to its slight hint of spices. To the more experienced mixers...If you have any recommendations, I'm all ears!
I'd love to see some other fall inspired recipes!
As a kid, my grandfather would take me to Ann Arbor to watch the Wolverines play football. Every game we'd buy a bag of 4 donuts and a mini jug of warm spiced apple cider. So that is why this flavor takes the city's name.
Arbor
- 3% HS Apple Mix
- 1% FA Fuji
- 1% FA Liquid Amber
- 1% TFA Apricot
- 1% FA Champagne
- 1 drop FLV Rich Cinnamon (Optional)
Mess with the apple percentages to get it where you want it. HS Apple Mix cannot be subsituted(but percentage can be tweaked if you want), as it is part of the cider and the spice base. Add FLV Rich Cinnamon if you like your spiced cider served with a stick of cinnamon. Next iterations may have a hint of hazelnut and caramel.
Sounds good, except out of all those ingredients, I only have Fuji. Damnit...
Yes, bring on the pumpkin pies and spiced ciders! I can't think of anything else regarding fall flavors
Okay I threw something together using HS Apple Mix and FA Liquid Amber. Let's see how it is...
Yo. This mix is fuckin fire. Gonna grab my notes and throw it up here.
Where do you get Hangsen flavors? I've heard their apple mix is amazing, but I can't find it from any of the big vendors.
Sounds tasty.
Tell me more about this NC orchard. I love apple picking.
Blueridge mountains, fresh apples, Apple cider, Apple cider donuts, perfect jeans and hoody weather. [Turns out they have a website] (http://mobile.dudamobile.com/site/skytoporchard?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.skytoporchard.com%2F&utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F#2651)
Probably probably pretty close to fizzmustard...
Just talking to the significant other about this, and I'm leaning towards making a pumpkin/gingerbread mix. I absolutely love caps gingerbread, and I'm hoping the pumpkin can bring it to great depths.
I'm actually going to try and do a molasses/oatmeal cookie vape - I have some incredible allspice flavor that I am DYING to use. I can't wait to see what you come up with!!!!!
Orange Cake
2.5% Yellow Cake (FW)
0.5% Biscuit (INW)
2% Orange Cream (TFA)
0.3% Mandarin (FA)
1% Caramel (FA)
0.5% Vanilla Bourbon (FA)
0.5% Fresh Cream (FA)
I think I probably wouldn't be tempted to try it if I read the recipe... But I suggest you try it anyways cause that stuff is really good.
I got a freebie a while ago, the description said orange cake and it smelled great from the bottle but I couldn't vape it because it was too harsh. So I decided to make my own and it turned out great imo.
No vanilla bourbon :(
Currently working on a pumpkin spice latte. After this thread, I got really interested in the idea, so I'm giving it a go. Initially I thought I could have something by the first day of Fall (Sept. 23) but that almost certainly won't happen. Initial tests are super promising, but I can tell it's gonna take me a minute. Or not, who knows, but I plan on posting it here with notes.
