Ok first as others have mentioned this > https://youtu.be/Yf-V0H4DnFo wicking video is by far the best wicking i've tried. No splatter, no dryburn, hard to over fill, and smooooth.
Second.
Wow /u/flavorah is as good as every one says. I only got a few flavors. Annnnd they sent me some Greek Yogurt to try.
Greek yogurt: SO smooth and nice. Mixed it with a little em and some berry flavors. Tried strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, and coconut and each one came out as an easy delicious ADV. Greek yogurt at 4% and just a hint of the fruit flavors. (2-3%) .5-1% em for mouthfeel and general goodness. It's light, tones down the sharp fruit/berry flavors and creates a great mellow flavor. Trust me i am not a yogurt person, something about the texture. However i'm sure ill be buying loads of Greek Yogurt.
Vanilla Custard: Not much i can say here that hasn't already been said. Used it between 2-3% an it's a great vanilla custard. I do like it more than my other ones. Like Capella needs awhile to steep to get that super butter taste out or w/e it is. This doesnt have that at all, few hot baths and its wonderful.
Coconut super strength. WHOA Sweet coconut cream. Exactly what you want in your mix. Dry coconut isn't what you want because it doesn't blend well. Toasted coconut only has a few applications. This coconut is so strong .6% is a tongue full of coconut flavor. It's not chemically in the least and much stronger than FA. Smoother than there's too. I'll be using this in a lot of my mixes like pina koolada, tigers blood, and the custard mix below.
So here's a recipe i would post it in the sticky but /u/kirkt went all nazi on us and made it 75% FLV only :-).
[Coconut custard]
Ingredient|% :---|---: Biscuit (INAWERA)|0.4 Cake Batter (CAP)|1 Coconut (FLV)|0.6 Sweetener (Sucralose)|0.8 Vanilla Custard (FLV)|4 Vanilla Swirl (TPA)|1.5
Flavor total: 8.3%)
I found cake batter and INW Biscuit make a fantastic blend together. I even have a bottle mixed up of 2 parts CB to just under 1 part Biscuit. So tasty in your cakes and custard mixes. Trust me on this, its killer and a must try even if you don't make this recipe.
Then of course the vanilla swirl, v custard, and coconut make the creamiest vanilla coconut custard. This mix is like coconut cream pie puddin. Just down right good.
Ands here's and extra recipe for you tiger blood lovers, besides the FLV coconut i've been mixing this for a year now. A few friends only vape this for months on end. Swap out Watermelon for Golden Pineapple (CAP) and you'll have my pine blood mix which is also a huge hit.
[Tigers Blood ]
Ingredient|% :---|---: Coconut (FLV)|0.5 Cream Fresh (FA)|1 Meringue (FA)|1 Strawberry (Ripe) (TPA)|2 Strawberry (TPA)|3 Sweet Watermelon (CAP)|4
Flavor total: 9.5%)
Disclaimer: I do steal then tweak a lot of recipes off here and sell them. But i sell them for next to nothing so people don't have to buy store juice and i can keep my hobby growing. Also no need to thank me for these thank the awesome reddit diy community. I thank you.
Alright,I'm going to have to step away from my comfort zone of BVC. Which vendor do you like for FLV?
(I guess 118 flavors ain't near enough is it?)
Edit: That coconut custard looks VERY appealing..
Gremlindiy.com is the only place to buy FLV unless you go direct.
Prices are the same either way I believe unless you have a wholesale account with FLV.
Can I sub sweet coconut in the first recipie. Maybe double it?
Do anything your heart wishes. I hate when people say "This Can't Be Subed!!!" Because they're full of shit. I have 100's of flavors and there are 1000's more i haven't tried. Until i try them I cant say No Subbing!. I've never tried sweet coconut but i imagine you'll enjoy it.
I will say after trying dozens of flavors in custard the cake batter and biscuit bring something unique i have yet to replicate in other add ins.
Anyone try that wicking method for bottomfed rda's? I could try it when I get home later but today is a long one for me!
I'll give it a shot with my reo, but won't be home til about 4-430 edt.
yeah won't be home until later than that myself! I have 3 reos myself.
First thing I notice is a definite cotton taste. After a bit, I think the other people are right (YouTube comments), my 3mg feels stronger.
Overall flavor tastes about the same. That cotton taste is diminishing the more I vape. Definitely lasts a lot longer between squonks and holds a bunch more juice in the cotton. Vapor seems about the same, possibly a little bit more. No difference in throat hit.
I don't know if I'll bother next time because the benefit seems to be holding more liquid, but with a squonker that's moot. Going to try with another rda on a regulated box.
