Ive never experienced it. On a Kfun4, and even the older versions. "Clogging" how?
I'm on KFL+ but I've had the same results on Ego One. If I vape any of these for instance...
- FA Dark Vapure
- INA S'Camel
- M&P Butterfly Bait
- MBV Coumarin Pipe
...I get full vapor production and coils last me 4-7 days on 5+ ml of the regular 50/50 juice a day.
But put a drop of the following in there:
- TFA Bavarian Cream
- TFA Graham Cracker (both clear and v1)
- FA Hypnotic Mist
- CAP Vanilla Custard v1
and those coils will produce enough gunk you can start scraping it off that twisted kanthal coil in about 2-3ml. It actually gets worse with non-twisted wire.
I should note that I preheat the wire with a regular lighter, but IIRC it would very much happen when I don't do it as well.
I get tons of vapor from my kfls. Clogging or cloying? Cloying = none. I chose what i vape. Clogging = none. I chose what I vape. I don't use flavors that require me to recoil every couple days. I usually go at least a week out of a coil.
> I don't use flavors that require me to recoil every couple days
Well that's what I'm talking about. Did you unintentionally answer my question or is that just your style of expressing yourself?
I just think most of us didn't understand your question since the "clogging" is usually referred to as "gunking/gunked coils".
I'm just too lazy to recoil every day or two, so I avoid certain flavors. I noticed your flair. Here's my favorite tobacco recipe "inspired" by Kentucky Bluegrass by ePipe that I've posted previously: All Flavors TFA. I mix 60/40 VG/PG and 2mg/ml nic.
1% M-Type Tobacco
1% Western Tobacco
4% Blueberry Candy
8% Bueberry Xtra
Let me know what you think. It's a pretty good "shake and vape", especially for a tobacco, but does get a bit better after ~7 days. I'd like someone to compare it to the original, but I haven't bought premade juice in several months and don't think I ever will again. I'm pretty happy with this and a few other recipes I have. A bonus to this one, is that it isn't a coil killer like many other tobaccos.
Thanks, I'll definitely save it. Hard to come by TFA in Europe, I got none of those flavours. Just ordered some tobacco absolute (NET) flavours from NudeNicotine, it seems like they really have a fan base. It's my first time ever tobacco absolute and although I've had some good regular tobacco flavours so far - my expectations are very high.
So that's a thing then? Flavors that gunk and there's nothing you can do about it? I mean I know it is but I'm surprised it isn't talked about more often. Like how can anyone praise MBV Texas Sweet Tea or Albino Drake when the whole tank turns to brown sludge after 0.5ml vaped? As a thank you for the recipe, here's my off-the-bat compilation of non-gunking tobaccos:
- FA Cuban Supreme
- FA Latakia
- FA Perique Black
- FA Maxx Blend
- FA Dark Vapure
- INA S'Camel
- MBV Coumarin Pipe
- MBV East-Coast Tobacco (very perfumey though)
- MBV USA Blend (East-Coast minus the perfume, but does oxidize your coil)
- M&P Dragon Tobacco
- M&P Honey Tobacco
- M&P Tobacco Blaze (tolerable gunk, 50% satisfaction)
- SnG Honey Tobacco
- SnG Monkey Bite
- TFA DK Base
- TFA RY4 double
- MBV Rum Tobacco
Clogging flavors? It may just be me but I have never had anywhere near as good of flavor with lung hits as I get with mouth to lung.
For my part, I went back to mouthto lungs after 2 years of dripping/subtank exploration. I have a very a active life so dipping on the move is kind of a pain. I didn't like the vapor production of any subtanks, both Atlantis tanks and different rtas I tried during the last years... Most feels like a waste of money. Was always ending up with my gud'ol kf4 with 30ga nickel .15ohm@18 watts. I like really creamy and feely vape so this right here has been stellar with my Grandmaster's clone juice in. The vape would be perfect for me if not for the lack of airflow settings.
Finally I bought two Tritons to fill-on-the-go. Ended up enjoying the mouth to lungs coil. Now I rebuild the .4s with nickel with a 2.5 to 3.0mm inner radius. Not bad at all!
One thing I feel obliged to point out is the direction today's vaping gear has took. Smaller gauge for wire and more powerful vw mods... It only making the battery cycles way shorter in the end. I left the big assessment claptons coils for more subtile but surface of contact over quantity of wire used.
All that on my vapor flask and I've been enjoying "mindless" vaping basically... No dry hits, no leak, a whole day without ever thinking about batteries... If there's nothing coming out, put some more in and back to vape.
