Funny thing is that I just built one of these, however I'm having problems maintaining the spin with bigger batches. I may need to pop another set of magnets on the inside how does it perform with the mixing and the high viscosity of the VG?

I haven't mixed a batch just yet. My scale went crazy so I'll need a new one. Currently mixing by volume.

get scale that do percentage. make thing a lot easier.

Percentages? Wat? Please explain or at least point me somewhere with details.

Do you have model number and does it go down to 0.01g?

I'm new to these badboys myself... Didn't even know magnetic mixers existed until reading this sub and watching videos. I checked a few google searches out, but pretty much stopped there after seeing the prices of them.

Plus I'm a high VG kinda guy and apparently mixing high VG or thick juices is kinda hard to get a good spin or vortex out of'em.

I watched the video were the guy was showing the wildly inaccurate nic percentages of NN nicotine. He used one to show he was mixing the base good to disprove the "hot spot" theory. He sure had a hard time getting his magnetic stirrer to mix the thick VG..... He couldn't get a vortex going at all.

So.... How much does someone have to spend to get one that will mix thick stuff super good?

Badass. I was wondering if anyone else here has made thier own clever stir device? I broke one of my computer fan blades the other day & after tearing off the rest i was thinking about what else i can use it for & just did a few tests with 15 ml bottles that didnt work out too well, but im sure someone else might have some ideas?

I ended up purchasing a Thermaltek USB fan and poped that in a project box and bought the stir bar on amazon with some glass beakers. Here's a guide that I kinda followed. I cringed because this guys a dummy.

I've noticed the motors burn out if the liquid isn't heated because its too thick, so there is too much resistance on the motor. I think a drill with a cement mixing paddle on it is the best solution, or a drill with diy mini paddle.

That was really nice of your girlfriend though.

no heat?
I got one those ika ret from ebay for $100 its heated with PWM controller.. so it heat up slowly with temp limits and such..
