Second edit: oh canada! Uk? Where ya'll at? TenaciousC decided to pass off the tobacco eliquids I was going to throw in as freebies so if a contributer to this sub wants 3 small bottles of tobacco eliquid at 0mg from NicVapes tradewinds line, please let me know.
Edit: Congrats to /u/o0tenaciousC, you win! Also threw in some tobacky extras. While I would have loved to send some appreciation to those of our international DIY people, I was looking through people's posting history and cracked up at this gem:
"Also true. There are four food groups: beef, cheese, bacon, and shit I will not eat."
It was oh-so reminiscent of my S.O. in how fucking picky he is, while also being so overly American as to be amusing, that I decided he was the winner.
Thanks to everyone for making my reddit messages fun to read for the evening :)
I have a small freebie pile to give away. Would prefer to give it away to someone who contributes (I'm not talking one of the heavy hitters, but just a random joe or joe-ette like myself who chimes in from time to time and doesn't solely lurk [do we have a lot of lurkers here?])
So please don't be a lurker :)
Up for grabs, all in one package: 4-5 mL of INW dessert ship 7mL of FA cocoa And 5-6 mL of TFA Dulce de leche (wizard labs glass vial never opened.)
Told you it was small :)
Accidentally ordered 2 of the dulce and use my first one often but in very small increments. The other two was takig a stab at a favored dessert tobacco but my SO had made me swear never to make him anything with these two flavors ever again (dessert ship turns kind of raisin-y and he hates chocolate.)
Will pick someone later tonight. Bonus points if you post a "white whale" recipe: a recipe that has ingredients you keep meaning to get but are so hard to get that you keep putting off ordering all the seemingly far flung flavors.
I'm willing to ship to UK or Canada but unless Australia is less than $8 or so, I'm probably going to have to say no to my crazy aussie friends.
Not interested in freebies, but this is very cool of you. Thanks
I'd have to look up the user who did this but about a month ago someone sent me maybe 6 10-15mL bottles of different flavors including the most coveted LA banana cream colorless. So mine is pretty tiny in comparison but I'll probably throw in some random extras. The flavors are only 2 months old or less by the way.
Trying to develop a kickass flan recipe, been debating whether to try out some dulche de leche instead of straight up caramel, but couldn't think of anything else I'd use it for if it didn't work out...
Winner, winner chicken dinner! I wanted to target one of the UK people because I feel like they do not get love. Started at the bottom of the thread and worked my way up looking at people's recent post history. A) you seem to be a chatty motherfucker on reddit-- cheers! I spend too much time here, but B) the real clincher was reading this post and cracking up: https://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/comments/3k0evg/best_labor_day_sales/cutwvfp
That right there pretty much assures me that you are nothing but American because it's oh, such a very American thing to say.
But it amused me and so, fuck it, you win.
Dulce de leche is good in anything that you want anything creamy. It's not creamy, but it is sweet and if I recall from my notes and from what I've read-- anything at 2% or over can impart a dirty, earthy sweetness (which is good for some people.) I've been sticking at 1%. I have not hit on a winning recipe with it front and center but it seems to do a decent job as a backup singer. However, there's only been a few recipes that I've done where I've played with only one variable, taking it out and replacing with other flavors. I have not done that with dulce de leche yet.
So yeah, shoot me your address and I'll try to get it out today-ish.
And as a bonus, you're getting 3 bottles of tobacco ejuice from NicVape Tradewind's line: Carolina, Carolina Cool, and Havana.
They are 0mg, but you can change that. I will warn you that the flavors do stick around the RDA, so just be aware of that so you an clean out the RDA really well after, or use a junker.
If tobaccos are not your thing, then I will send it off to one of the poor bastards here as a consolation prize (who has already posted.)
MURICA!
I shall gladly accept my winnings as a true American, as I bathe in crisco.
As Tobacco ejuice is not my cup of tea, I would like to bequeath it to one of my Imperial brethren over there in Mr. Beanland to make up for throwing all their Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime tea into Boston Harbor.
Excelsior!
P.s. do it old style with tallow (which by the way is in the soap I sent you.) Good thing you're not a vegan! If you geek out over history, and money, the podcast planet money has a really good episode on the rise of crisco in the early 20th century and how we're now cycling back to lard slowly but surely.
Definitely interested in this. I've really wanted to try some tobacco flavor for a while but just purchased all the ingredients for bronuts, so my DIY budget is pretty much done for the month lol. Thanks for doing this!
No kidding. I messed around with bronuts with a few substitutions but I need to get CAP glazed donut because the chocolate glazed donut is 99.99% sure not to fly here.
Dont have a "whitewhale" as such.. there a few reciepes that i would like to try but not a fan of 1 or more ingredients that I fear will over power everything...
No worries. More just a way to make conversation in the thread.
I would suppose then my white whale flavour is "mango"... just can't seem to include it in any order
You planning on making a mango vape or just don't like it? One of my favorite desserts is a very sweet and very tart mango slightly pudding-ish cheesecake. Can't say I have mango often otherwise enough to feel inspired to order it. Maybe as a mango-hybiscus-white tea vape hybrid (haven't yet had a white tea vape that I haven't enjoyed at least somewhat.)
I don't have any of these flavors so I'm definitely interested in the giveaway.
I don't really have a white whale recipe..more like a white whale flavor. It has taken me many months and tons of orders to finally snag some INW Biscuit from Gremlin DIY last week.
I've been wanting to mix Blackout for a long time. I'm missing the raspberry...I think. Does it even have raspberry? I can't remember. I've all but given up.
I don't post much around here, mainly on ECR. i just made my first order for DIY and managed to spend around $300. I could still definitely use a ton more flavorsz. I have hear awesome things about Inawera tobaccos, I actually may have ordered Desert Ship but I'm drawing a blank since I orderered so much across different sites, lol. I know for sure I didn't order the other two and I feel they would fit perfect in the arsenal as my order was mostly desert focused. Awesome of you to do this for the community, thanks!
PS- Don't have any white whale's yet obviously but I've found that recipes like Bronuts can cause quick shortages of INW Biscuit and that FA Joy is becoming very popular and might do the same thing soon!
I'm solid on those flavors (aside from FA Cocoa, any good?), so I won't enter the contest. But thank you very much for doing this. I should probably jump aboard and do something like this; I've got a ton of flavors that I use so sparingly it's not worth keeping them. Other folks or newer mixers could certainly use them more than myself.
I just started recently, so I don't have any white whale recipes... although I would really like to nail down a good hot cocoa flavor... thanks for the freebies! It's awesome to see people doing stuff like this, it really does help us newbies out a lot.
I was reading a pumpkin spice eliquid thread and someone mentioned black pepper. So remember your spices if you like things like mexican hot cocoa which would need a minute amount of capascin.
I like spiced things. I have FA cardamom that I've had forever and haven't been able to use. Way back when, I remember mixing a blackberry something and a cardamom tea (both might have been from zeus juice) and I loved it a lot. But spices are so tricky.
Cardamom... mmm... that's one that needs to go on my list for a Thai iced tea...
I do like spices!! (As an aside, predictive text wanted me to say that I like spiders...) I want a good plain hot cocoa, but Mexican hot cocoa is also excellent.
I ordered some "pepper" from Natures Flavors after asking them if it was black pepper or bell pepper or what, as it was not defined. They said it was black pepper but it turns out it was bell pepper! I was going to use it to emulate the spicy chai I make for myself, don't think bell pepper works there though lol. I got some of that cardamom on the way right now and I'm planning on using it in a Jazzy Boba clone. This will be my first time back at mixing again since 2010 (no joke) lol. I've got really high hopes as I've done a crazy amount of research and already have a few tweaked recipes. Also pretty good mixologist/chef.
