So as I've done in the past, I took a very close replication of a flavor I enjoy, Shurb (/u/vaperous' s version posted here) and done what I can to improve upon it.
So I took that base and made some adjustments to my ideal rainbow sherbet but without losing the similarity to JTJM Shurb.
8% TFA Orange Mandarin
3% TFA Key Lime (instead of lemon note)
1.5% INW Raspberry Concentrate (instead of FA)
2% TFA Vanilla Swirl (instead of 1%)
2% TFA Whipped Cream (fluffy sweetness added)
5% Ethyl Maltol (10%)
Seriously though, if you've ever enjoyed the insane sweetness that is JTJM Shurb, you're gonna fall head over heels in love with this!
Enjoy everyone!
This is a shake and vapeable mix, the fruity top notes calm down after a few days to be more like Shurb where the sweet base comes more forward.
Edit: Loving this @ 30/70 PG/VG in my Herakles with a 0.2ohm coil running @ 60-70 watts.
Also one of the few diketone free recipes I've released in the last twelve months if you're into that sort of thing!
Holding out on the good stuff until mL wayne releases his recipes so you grab our attention?
Rubs hands together
I see you, Botboy, I see you :)
Haha, wife had a baby on Monday. Been vaping this for two weeks but hadn't had a chance to try it after more than a 5 day steep until today =).
Sure, sure. If you say so!
Congratulations, man. Thanks for all that you do here. At least I know when I mix up some garbage I can rely on your help to pull me through the day.
Do you think he/she is more of a FlavourArt baby, or leaning towards TFA? Asking the important questions...
You know if you're not going to post a detailed description with notes and profiles I'm going to have to ask you to post in the recipe thread... ^^jk ^^:P
PS if I sub in FA Mandarin instead of the TFA do you think like 2%?
Does that amount of Ethyl Maltol cause issues as it steeps? Or has it not lasted long enough to steep? ;)
It dulls the fruits (which is good as they are slightly, just slightly, harsh starting out) and it adds a super sweet full smooth base to the recipe. If you've ever had JTJM Shurb, it's the most noticeable aspect of that juice to me. I believe I've replicated that feel and taste very well here, but the fruits pop more in this version than the original IMO (lime > lemon anyways) =)
> 8% TFA Orange Mandarin
I've had a 4ml bottle of this for like two years because I meant to order a different orange from TPA and ordered this instead. Thank god for my shitty reading comprehension!
Congrats on Botboy141 Jr. btw!
Gunnar is proud to be the new poster boy for Gunner's Gold!
Alright, finally got around to trying this and w o w. Really nice job buddy. I'm not sure which part of this is making such a huge difference compared to all the attempts I did. Maybe the Key Lime? There's a note in here that I just never got from any of my recipes that fits perfectly.
Either way, very nice. Don't think I'll need to be buying any Shurb anymore :)
So I took this and added about .75% INW Cactus, and it ended up almost tasting like Mt Dew Baja blast.
Mmm TFA Key Like, tastes like brass?
JTJM is a good buddy of mine. He loves reading the clone stories.
Yeah local Chicago guy =)
This definitely isn't a clone, just a similar base and orange/mandarin note.
The TFA Key Lime is what really makes this recipe superior to the original for me (and yes I edited the mis-spelling).
Going to try this Sundayish. I like TFA Key Lime.
