So, I've just ordered a ton of DIY juice flavors (large selection in small qtys).
The plan is to experiment a bit and get a taste of the various flavors. For instance, I want know specifically what "custard" means as an e-juice flavor and how it's any different from sweet cream. I'm aware of how they taste as food, but in my experience vape juice often tends to be "reminiscent" of a certain flavor.
Anyway, I'm using a svoemesto kayfun v4 currently. It's awesome but I think it it'd be a pain to test small amounts of juice with. To do it properly, I'd have to change the cotton and clean out the tank every time (not impossible but kinda tedious). So I'm looking for something easier.
Any recommendations? I have a new eleaf istick 100w and a bunch of mechanical battery mods. I'm open to recommendations of any type, what do you guys use to test flavor batches? The kayfun is the only decent ~~vape~~ atomizer I own (I have a couple of cheap drippers). I'd spend up to a $100ish unless there was good reason to go higher.
I bought a crap ton of cheap drippers on overstock at a local B&M -- bought 2 dozen for $80 cash.
Pick up some pre-made clapton coil wire and skip the wick entirely.
Excellent advice here. I use a bunch of cheap igo-w's with the holes drilled out to 1/8th to test on Clapton coils without cotton as well.
You can find some igo-w's around for under $10 each. I usually just keep 5 sitting around and use as necessary for new flavors. I take my initial notes with no cotton, usually if I really like a flavor I've tried this way I'll use a build I tend to vape on more often to take more detailed notes before beginning to play with the flavor too much.
5 is definitely enough. 24 is stupid. I am going to have /u/chicagoprinter laser cut me an acrylic stand for probably 12 of them and laser etch "Sample 01" through "Sample 12" on there so I can keep track.
Huh, yeah I guess a clapton coil could hold enough liquid for a quick taste.
I tried wrapping claptons and failed miserably.... Guess I could order some pre made. That does sound a LOT easier for testing flavors!
Wasn't worth my time at all. For the price, I just buy it and have it done.
I'm sorry but it just irks me when people say vape as a noun in place of mod, RDA, tank, etc.
i.e. "Bro how many vapes u got, yo"
Now that it's out of my system I can try to help. A bunch of cheap RDAs^^^(not ^^^vapes) is one way. Some people also add a drop of flavoring to an ounce or so of water and taste it that way.
Meh, the English language is full of shit filled slang that constantly changes. I remember not too long ago when "doing good" did not mean the same as "doing well."

It's what I use to refer to an assembled piece (Though I wouldn't call just an RDA or a tank or something a vape on it's own, since they're components.), probably because I've been vaping cannabis for the past 6+ years, and that's what we call our vaporizers. Old habits, and all that. It does make sense to me, though. It's still a device that vaporizes something, and is easily shortened to vape. You're welcome to be irked of course, but it'd probably be less aggravating to just let it go. I really doubt the term is going anywhere.

There, fixed it except for the title. Just pretend the title is referring to needing a whole new setup (including maybe a new mod).
Also, I used "atomizer" to refer to the class that contains RDAs, RBAs, and whatever else there is. Is this correct terminology? It sounds clunky, is there an alternative?
Use whatever rda you want that has a good sized juice well. Use a mech or regulated mod. Make a singe twisted coil or Clapton coil (or buy them I guess?). Install the coil low down in the juice well so that it's barely not touching the deck. Do not wick. Fill juice well, and vape. The twisted or Clapton coil will wick up the juice. Usually good for 3-5 good rips.
