I'm clueless on what to do with this recipe, any help?
submitted about 10 years ago by iSimiRacing

Recipe:
CAP Vanilla Custard 10%
CAP Banana 6%
CAP Gingerbread 3%
TFA Graham Cracker 1%

It tastes great on inhale, like a banana cookie as intended, but on the exhale it's a very sharp, almost bloody taste. I've blown my nose many times now and I'm 99% sure my nose isn't bleeding, I tried lowering the banana as it's quite strong but then it loses touch.

Is there anything I could swap, drop or lower?

I'm gonna go the other way and suggest to blow out your nose again. In my experience, 99% sure is just a way your brains uses to trick you into looking down at the white towels your wife just cleaned. Fucking asshole brain.

could call it vampire vape.

lol JK, try dropping custard down some :) longer it steeps, the smoother it will get.

I'd drop the custard a little bit, 10% is a little high... It will smooth out as it ages. I'd make a few different batches with custard at different percentages and check back on them after a week. If it is still sharp even with custard lower, look into the other components, but I feel it is probably the 10% custard sharpness/not aged that is a little unsettling... takes a bit of time.

As /u/drmclovens and /u/joesphaa suggested, less VC and more steep should help to smooth this out and reduce any odd tastes. Speaking from experience Cap VC V1 only gets better with age. The longer it steeps the better it will be. I would try the same recipe but with CAP VC V1 at 3, 5 and 7%, let each mix steep for a month, then taste and see which you prefer and make any necessary adjustments from there.

I don't think you've gone too heavy on the gingerbread here, but it will also change a bit after a month long steep so that may need some adjustment as well.

A month and it's great, 2 months and it's amazing. 6 months is heaven in a bottle.
