So a while ago, I found this incredibly popular recipe and didn't get exactly what I was looking for. I made a few modifications and increased some percentages and ended up with this recipe:
- French Vanilla (TFA) - 6%
- Caramel Original (TFA) - 4.5%
- Hazelnut (FA) - 2%
- Banana Cream (TFA) - 2%
- Peanut Butter (TFA) - 1.5%
- Ethyl Maltol (TFA) - 1%
- Acetyl Pyrazine (TFA) - .5%
Personally, I mix this in 70VG/30PG. Most of my friends and myself vape 3mg - 6mg of nicotine. I vape this on a mechanical mod using a dual coil using nichrome @ around .15ohms. I also use this in a Freemax Starre Tank with a .2ohm Herakles coil head @ around 70 Watts on my regulated mod.
The flavor is spot on to grandmaster according to anecdotal claims haha. You get a smooth peanut buttery inhale and taste the banana cream on the exhale. It is a personal favorite of mine and hopefully others can enjoy it. I am not too good at analyzing flavor profiles but I can say that this is in my ADV rotation and a crowd favorite. Thanks for reading my friends.
Edit: Fixed the bullets. Second edit is editing this edit...lol
Holy christ, 2% of FA Hazelnut? That's shit's the strongest, most overpowering flavor I've ever added to ANYTHING. And at .5% it would overpower 25% of TFA flavors. I can't imagine 2% being good in ANYTHING.
That said, the rest of this looks pretty delicious.
Yeah that's really high, I'm sure I'd find it harsh too at that percentage. TFA Peanut Butter looks pretty low in that recipe as well. But I don't know, maybe the combination of AP/PB/Hazelnut gives a nice peanut butter effect. Banana Cream looks really low as well at 2%. Weird looking recipe but hey, if it works it works. Can't know until you try it.
Interesting. Well for me it doesnt overpower anything. I have also used TFA hazelnut in this mix at the same percentage and it came out tasty. If you do find it overpowering just lower the percentage down a bit! It is still yummy.
did you let it steep though? the other grandmaster / boss reserve clones I've seen have 3% of tfa and 3% of capella peanut butter
tastes like burned peanut butter if you dont let it sit awhile
same recipe but peanut butter down from 6% to 2%? (1% of each?) , cant even taste any nuttiness after a weeks steep
Wow! I love grandmaster and every single clone of it I've mixed up is delicious.
Here's a recipe that isnt quite grandmaster, but has the same flavor profile
Base 1:
Caramel FA 7.7%
Caramel (Original) TFA 15.4%
Hazel Grove (Hazelnut) FA 3.8%
Hazelnut FW 7.7%
Peanut Butter TFA 46.2%
Peanuts INW 3.8%
Ripe Banana 7.7%
Vienna Cream 7.7%
.
Base 2:
French Vanilla TFA 76.9%
Marshmallow FA 7.7%
Vanilla Swirl TFA 15.4%
.
Combine base 1 and base 2 at whatever ratio you want. Sometimes I like to go 7% Base 1 + 4% base 2 for a really nutty sweet vape with creamy vanilla undertones, or I like to go Base 1 5% + Base 2 7% for a creamy vape with a peanut butter/caramel swirl. I have about 1 oz each of base mixed up for these so I can mess with it whenever.
After I combine the bases I add 1-3% Banana Cream (TFA or LorAnn depending on your preference), or even more ripe banana (extra .5) and .5-1% acetyl pyrazine.
Some additional interesting things I like to do with this mix is drop in some FA Honey. Sometimes some FA Almond, or whatever you like! DIY is that awesome!
