-
Ripe Strawberry-TFA: This is like the meat of a strawberry. Or maybe some strawberries soaked in just a tad bit of sugar water. Really solid flavor. Best strawberry imho.

-
Mango-FA: Somewhat of an unripe taste of mango. Definitely prefer LA mango.

-
Raspberry-FA: Spot on Raspberry. Not candy but picked berries.
-
Cherries-INW: This is amazing. It is sort of like freshly picked cherries off the tree but the tartness isn't as pronounced. It reminds of the cherry tree instead of just the cherry.

Edited: Finished the flavor list.
7% ripe banana ⊙_⊙
Try tfa honey next
I will be making a list of flavors to get next. TFA honey will be on it :) Was 7% on banana too much? I had thought so based on the intense chemical flavor I got. My GF loved it at that % though lol. I was thinking of using it as like a 1-2% to get a banana flavor in future recipes.
Yeah 7% for ripe banana as a standalone is overpowering. I use it in mixes at .5%-1% and it still overbearing. If you get tfa honey dont try it at 7% its another strong flavor .5-1%
Thanks for putting this together. Flavor reviews are by far the most helpful thing on this subreddit. Its nice to know what a flavor tastes like, if its a waste of time, how strong it is, etc.
THANKS!
For the FA flavors, 7% is a bit high. Try meringue @4%, and hazelnut @3% for a proper representation.
also, 56. 'Nana Cream isn't creamy. It's fruity with an undertone of banana and the cream only helps smooth the fruits.
I will keep that in mind for future recipes :) I will keep them down in the .5-2% levels. The meringue I got even has a pretty feint smell. I'll try it in a 4% to see if it tastes better; but from what I could tell it was really just a slight flavor not very strong. As for hazelnut I will be getting around to reviewing that one :)
Yeah, but it shouldn't be a bread taste in the meringue; it should be more along the lines of lucky charms marshmallows. Hazelnut is fairly strong from my experience. Just remember that FA is on par with INW and HS strengths. >2x the strength of most TFA and CAP
The bread taste I am referring to is kind of like a bland cookie flavoring. As far as the marshmallow flavor is concerned I didn't really get that. I will add some VG to it to dilute it and see if the flavor comes out for me.
The flavor strength depending on brand is starting to become more apparent to me.
This is an excellent resource, thanks so much for sharing. In the future, might I suggest that you start at 5%, or lower for brands that are known to be more concentrated (FA, INW, Flavorah etc). Perhaps try the median or the recommended single mix % as suggested by users on E-Liquid Recipes.
Super helpfup review, i'll have to pick up some inw cherries. Sounds delicious! Just a heads up, it's the "rind" of a melon :p
You should get in touch with /u/botboy141 to add your thoughts to the flavor list he's working on!
He did, I just haven't been in front of a desktop to get him added yet.
Have an upvote for being a bro
Thanks man :)
Another note, you mentioned looking for a more candy apple flavor. Cap green apple is a fairly candy flavored green apple imo. Tastes like green apple jolly ranchers
Nice post. Got a lot of flavors I have on order, or plan on ordering soon. I was thinking of taking about 10 of them and making %2 test bottles and %5 test bottles.... But maybe I need to do something higher, like %3 and %7.
You can always go up in % but never down. In general I didnt have issues with TPA flavors @ 7%. But INW and FA flavors like others have mentioned are intense. Anywhere you see me mention perfumey I would recommend that you use it at a lower % and let it breathe for atleast 6 hours.
Very true. I just wanted to have a low percentage and mid-high percentage mix of each of my flavors so I could always come back and test them at a later date and get a good idea of how strong they were and what they tasted like when already steeped.
Optimally this is also what I wanted to do, but that would have taken me too long to evaluate. Doing them @ 7% I can see which flavors are over powering and will be lowered to 2-5% and which can be upped to 9-12%. My further testings will come in recipes where I hope to get a better idea of which flavors are more dominating :D
Also, I did not want to waste more than I had to of each flavoring.
Please share your notes when you finish!
u/Paladiex do you have any tips on how to set up for a tasting such as what you have written up? what i mean specifically is did you use a new pipette/bottle for every flavor? did you re-use a syringe? im interested in doing the individual tasting but i feel like it would be alot of waste to use a new pipette/bottle for every flavor... theres gotta be a better way, right?
So, nah I bought a box of 1000 pipettes for like $50 so I wasnt particularly caring about how many pipettes I wasted. But for this test particularly I think I used a syringe and sucked in and out water 10 times between batches. Tasted the water to make sure no flavor was left.
Yes, each bottle contained it's own flavor. I bought a bunch of 5ml bottles, my friends and I vaped it all down so didn't waste the bottles. I still have some chillin with water in them; going to see if I can reuse later.
All in all, my suggestion is to lay everything out on a table and designate a pipette for each flavour. Mix up some flat samples, and some recipes. Then toss the pipettes. You're gonna need bottles for each, no way around it. Clapton coils are great for this, otherwise u gotta change ur cotton every 2-3 flavors (went through stupid cotton during this test iirc).
Sorry for the delayed response man, school picked up and I haven't been vaping lately.
What % did you find inw cherries to mix well?
