That's it. (Edit: thank you guys alot, I now know I'm probably gonna bulk at $4.25)
You mean, if a B&M buys wholesale?
Yes
B&Ms strive for 40-60% markups on the net cost of each bottle.
Variance is based on MOQ and possibly restock minimums.
Well, I'm asking because a vapeshop said they would buy my juice, but that the price of $5.50 a bottle was too high. And I was curious as to why they would say that. The way I look at it, they're gonna sell it at around $9.50-$10.00 and are more like 80% markup
Create your own website and sell it for retail your self you can also have wholesale applications on the site too. You will net way more selling directly to your customers, personally I'd do both. Create a company Reddit account and be active on social media so you can obtain new clientele.
Here is Space Jams pricing. They also require a minimum order of $1,000 for your first order, and then order as needed after that.
"Wholesale & MSRP pricing is as follows:
Space Jam & Clouds Of Hope:
15ml bottles=$6 30ml bottles=$11
Mystique & Black Reserve:
30ml bottles=$13
Black Reserve: Available in late Summer
15ml bottles=$7.50
We ask for 100% market up which would make MSRP in your stores:
Space Jam & Clouds Of Hope:
15ml bottles=$11.99 30ml bottles=$21.99
Black Reserve:
15ml bottles=$14.99
Mystique & Black Reserve:
30ml bottles=$25.99"
Popular seller here sells their 30ml bottles for $10 with a minimum order of 30 bottles to the shops.
Fuck, livin' the life ey?
I WISH I could land a deal like that around my town, they usually ask me to be around $6/30ml.
Normal wholesale (meaning non distributor) price ranges from $6.50-$12 a bottle for the majority of brands
edit: for 30ml
This. Suicide Bunny for example markets @ $12.00 for 30ml and $7.00 for 15ml wholesale pricing to B&M's.
I broke into the wholesale market comfortably @ 6.50-7.50 per 30ml, adequate mark up for me (150% profit margin) with quantity discounts for shops based on order size. My juice is also well regarded as a premium brand wit generic pricing, shops can offer my juice for re-sale at a lower price than suicide bunny (more sales for them and me) and still make more $$$ per bottle.
This encourages them to carry more than just 4 of my flavors as they receive discount pricing on larger orders.
A big name brand charges around $8.00 per 15ml. MSRP is $13.
Established brands can charge more.
If your trying to break into a B&M? Try to go with a first order discount then work with them on a base price for future orders. If it performs well, they will re order and pay your price.
Wholesale is usually $5-6, I've never heard $8 for a 15ml. If anything, the bigger companies charge lower prices because they can move more volume.
Can depend on a lot
Shops will justify the price by the Juice Company's marketability, brand establishment, online presence, visual presence, possibly media content, and flavor/quality.
$4 for a good juice, with marketability, 15ml, is not a bad price for you assuming you're doing it right and keeping costs low and quality high, if they're your first shop. Do it, grandfather them in, honor that price for life, (unless FDA taxes hit, and other stuff)
Assuming they have a presence in the vaping industry within the area or the world, take advantage of their marketing but grandfathering them in now.
I know from talking with one of the employees at a local B&M, Cuttwood requires that they sell Boss Reserve for at least 23 or 24.99 (I can't remember exactly) per 30ml as part of their contract or sales agreement. He did not tell me what they purchase it in bulk for (or if they do). Once I heard that I just assumed all "premium" lines did this.
