I have about 8 bottles I just mixed up. Was thinking about stuffing them all in a sock or two and putting them in the dryer with some other clothes. Maybe half hour or so. Anyone ever try it?
It's not a crazy idea, but I don't like using plastic if I am going to heat liquids due to the possibility of leeching. Glass could have it's own issues with a tumble dryer, but I guess you could put them in a bunch of socks? Dryers tend to get a little too hot (165-175 degrees), and could degrade your nic a bit or affect the flavorings. I don't like to go over 150 degrees, and usually go with about 130 - but that's a personal preference.
In the summer I throw a few bottles into a plastic bag and leave them in my car 2-3 days.
Yup. 1 day in a black car in Florida will steep them very nicely.
Same in California. Its like a fucking oven.
Nice idea, I think I'll try this. I know doing both are optimal but do you think its the heat that contributes more to the steep or letting it breathe for long periods?
Heat helps mix, but prolonged heat(like leaving the bottle in your car during the summer) only ruins juice. Your best bet is a warm bath right after mixing, then letting it breathe for an hour or two a day for a week.
