Gremlin Juice Fired Up Apple Clone
submitted about 10 years ago by gremlinjuice

I'd say this is pretty close to the original (bwahaha)

Red Apple (FW) - 50%

Cinnamon Red Hot (TPA) - 30%

Kentucky Bourbon (TPA) - 20%

I know... too simple, right?

AND, this is now available on www.GremlinDIY.com under a new tab for recipes. For those that use E-Juice Me Up for mixing calculations, it is attached to the recipe so clicking the "Add to Cart" button actually sends you the Juice Me Up file for you to use. I apologize ahead of time but it does treat it as a product so even though it is free, it will still make you go through the whole checkout routine, so unless you have other items in the cart (Like the ingredients in the recipe maybe?) it would probably be easier to just write it down. :) I decided to set them up like this so people can write reviews on them and rate them to help others find what they are looking for.

If anyone has a recipe they would like to see on the site, let me know via email (rich@gremlinjuice.com) and we will try them out and post them in the recipe category. You will of course be given full credit for the recipe, I'm not trying to steal anything from you, but I do have some plans for the near future with them that will be explained later. :)

Something else I want to mention... something that a lot of people forget abut is the PG and VG have a flavor. When trying to use one of our recipes and you are following it perfectly but it's still tasting different... buy a bottle of our PG and VG from the site and mix it with those. at THAT point, you are 100% making a bottle of Gremlin Juice and it should taste like it came from our shop.

What a brilliant way to sell your own flavors! (As long as you have them all in stock, lol)

(I made sure they were all in stock and on the site before I posted the recipe. hehe)

Yes this is brilliant. Any DIY'er would have made a batch of rubbish juices, and that's when the frustration can creep in. So if you can be certain with a few recipes, that's money!

Very intuitive Gremlin!

I am constantly putting in orders for more flavors. FA is just REALLY slow on getting the flavors. I will add those to the next order though! The current incoming is what's on the site now. I'm waiting to update the delivery times as soon as I get them. :) (Also, I'm assuming FlavourArt is the brand for both of those?)

Damn you guys are SLAYIN' it lately. Great share.

Also the recipe tab sounds like an awesome idea. You should add a link to each ingredient on the product page too!

:) I'm still trying to get the format of the recipes to work and make sense. Almost there. I am hoping that I get some recipes for folks so I can start posting them and see if this will work or not.

You make good juice, set up a nice DIY site, and share your slammin' recipes. You are a generous man! Tell the gremlins hello and thanks from me!

This is a great way to get people into DIY. Click a recipe link and have a button for add ingredients to cart. I like!

At the moment it's just the recipe file that is added to the cart, but there was a management meeting today where exactly that was brought up. Kind of like a "sample pack" but it would add all the flavors needed to make the recipe in question. Brilliant minds think alike. (And the Gremlins are the brilliant ones, not me. I'm just along for the ride). It might be in place as soon as tomorrow... Stay tuned!

That's brilliant, Rich! I love the idea of getting recipes like that.

If you don't have E-Juice Me Up, how do you get to the recipe?

I'll update the description with a better percentage. The percents given are to make the base concentrate to mix the juice. I figured that everyone is going to be making a different size bottle, so there's no way to say exactly. For a 10ml bottle at 20% flavoring you would see:

Red Apple - 1.2ml

Cinnamon Red Hot - 0.72ml

Kentucky Bourbon - 0.48ml

This makes 2.4ml of flavor base which is 20% of a 10ml bottle (Because the 10ml bottles hold 12ml of liquid)

Aaaand that's why I suggest an e-liquid calculator. :) The numbers just get too weird because everyone has different mixes. I know a LOT of people will be happy with HALF that amount of flavor! :)

Oh, I use Juice Calculator. I just meant how do you open the recipes when you get them in email since they only come as .rec files. I was able to import them into JC, though.

Ah, At that point, I would just write them down. :)

I was just about to post an "Awww, c'mon guys, let's not clone..." then I saw the name of OP. Nice share!!

Because I'm terrible with math, what's the easiest way to break this down to individual percentages, instead of creating a huge bottle of "base"

by cache4goldabout 10 years ago

You'd have to know what flavor percentage they're typically adding. Or you can figure it out yourself and adjust to taste.

Assuming 10% (or 15%) flavoring then it would be: 5% red apple (7.5%) 3% red hot (4.5%) 2% Kentucky bourbon (3%)

WHAT?! THATS IT?! I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THIS! One of my favorite flavors from you guys is this simple and I was running way in the other direction from the right recipe. Getting so frustrated with FW Dutch apple pie....
Thanks rich! Every recipe you provide I learn more and more about DIY. Thrashberry gave me Harvest Berry to play with, Blue Hawaiian gave me Jamaican Rum, and now a recipie with Kentucky Bourbon? I got that bottle a long long time ago but I know it's long gone because I just couldn't figure it out. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be ordering it again! Thanks!

:) I think that should be a good rule of thumb for DIY. When it tastes good, STOP! You really don't have to have 50 ingredients to make it taste good.

This recipe used to have FW Double Apple, but we kept running into inconsistencies with that flavor for some reason. It was pulled from ALL recipes about a year ago.

This is genius. Another potential thought: having a few "approved" or "selected" clones/ recipes listed on the site, giving the percentages and having the ingredients listed available below for sale. Someone sees a recipe they might like? Bam, all ingredients right there and available to order. Comments on suggested tweaks or variations would also be a nice touch! Just a thought for expanding this even further. I'm freaking digging that banana cream pie concentrate from you guys!!!

I really want to list Oreo's Custard Clone recipe. I'm going to have to track him down for permission. I really do want to get public recipes listed (and carry the flavors to make them of course) The customer reviews for that recipe (and this is why I am posting them as product) will be great to have input from people suggesting trying this or that modification. Too much fun!

That would be absolutely phenomenal! I'm certain that some of the posters here with popular recipes would be ok with you listing their recipes and selling the ingredients listed. It's a ton of fun! Shoot, you could potentially have folks coming and browsing the site for ideas/ recipes, and having all the ingredients right there would be super convenient!
