Feeling happy and generous tonight.
Going to release my Awesome Apple Pie flavor recipe as well as my favorite revision which is what I vape now but not what I sell. At least not yet...
First: Awesome Apple Pie (diketone free)
% | MFG Flavor | % for a Flavor Base ---------|----------|-------- 7.5% | TFA Apple Pie | 55.13% 1% | FA Apple Pie | 7.35% 1% | FA Fuji Apple | 2.24% 0.5% | TFA Pear | 7.35% 0.3% | FA Liquid Amber | 7.35% 1% | FA Caramel | 3.68% 1% | FA Cookie | 7.35% 1% | TFA Vanilla Swirl | 7.35% 0.3% | TFA Cinnamon | 2.21%
Use Flavor Base @ 14%.
That's the official recipe that everyone has really enjoyed. After some feedback recently, I think a batch of Cinnamon I received may have somehow been stronger than previous batches but this is the typical recipe.
Below you will find the improved version of the recipe that I am personally enjoying even more. The cinnamon is more bakery like and crust is propped up a little more with some buttery crust from the INW Biscuit.
% | MFG Flavor | % for a Flavor Base ---------|----------|-------- 7.5% | TFA Apple Pie | 49.65% 1% | FA Apple Pie | 6.62% 1.5% | FA Fuji Apple | 9.93% 0.3% | FA Liquid Amber | 2.01% 1% | FA Cookie | 6.62% 1% | INW Biscuit | 6.62% 1% | FA Caramel | 6.62% 0.5% | TFA Pear | 3.31% 1% | TFA Vanilla Swirl | 6.62% 0.3% | FLV Rich Cinnamon | 1.99%
Use flavor base @ 15%
Enjoy you whores.
Wow, BB, you are really generous. This is like Coke revealing the secret formula....
I can now openly admit that Botboy sent me this recipe (the older version) some months ago and it has been an ADV for me ever since. Absolutely delicious and I never get tired of it. I have a Subtank that has only ever been used for this recipe. I never mix less than 100ml at a time, and usually more.
That said, Botboy has cleverly left out one secret ingredient from the recipe. For every 10ml, you need one drop of your children's tears, obtained when you tell them that dad spent the Disney World Vacation Fund on obscure Botboy flavorings.

This made me rofl pretty good =).
You weren't the only one that had the recipe already either =).
I must say, thank you to those that I had shared this with that kept a lid on it for so long as well !
DUDE. Thought you'd never release this. Now it's like..it's like there are no secrets. What has this world come to?
Every eliquid vendor could release all their recipes to the public and their sales would likely go up, not down.
In time, I think it'll happen more often -- especially as vendors retire flavors.
Yeah kinda my thoughts. I don't really expect sales to go up because of the release, but I sincerely doubt they will go down much. Concentrate sales may decline slightly, but I'm focusing my concentrate sales to B&M's that mix their own anyways.
I don't think that even concentrate sales wouldn't go down, in my case I'm in Venezuela and I will not buy all those flavors, I'm tented to buy your concentrates instead all that missing flavors. Maybe I'm lazy or the language, shipping, payment methods limitations makes them more convenient for me.
I am drunk as fuck and so mixing this shit after interstellar blows my mind for the fifth time. Thanks man, I know this was one of your most popular recipes.
Thanks for this, this is one I can cross off the list of "juices I want to buy but cant".
Edit: I dont have Cinn TFA, shuld I use Cinn Sugar Cookie TFA/Cinn Danish Swirl CAP or Cinn Roll FW for best results?
CAP CDS will get you the closest but not the same. FA Cinnamon Ceylon would be the best substitute. Definitely don't use TFA Cinnamon Sugar Cookie as it fucks up the whole profile (been tried believe me...was so disappointed...). I haven't tried FW Cinnamon Roll.
Sweeet thanks bro, would've gone with CSC TFA, looks like I was right to ask before I mixed :D. Ill get some Ceylon next order for sure.
Nice, thanks!
don't have FLV Cinnamon but INW Cinnamon Shisha is good for bakery. Have you tried it?
Now that I think about it, I think I'll make a 3rd version as well, swapping out the cookie and the cin for SCE snickerdoodle. Looks like my next mixing session there's gonna be so. much. pie. :)
Ironic to be thinking about this as I'm currently vaping a "gambit clone"...
Wow thanks for this botty. Now to tweak my apple pie I posted in the August thread a little bit more. Thought I was using a bit much amber.
Edit: I haven't tried tfas Apple pie but have you thought about using .2-.5% lime cold pressed to accentuate the apple further? I can't taste it in mine at .5 but it definitely does something tasty. I've also been meaning to add biscuit, but of all the concentrates I'm missing atm it's my damned apple pie & cookie, lol.
Damnit, I was hoping TFA Apple(tart) would be in here. I have no idea what to do with that flavor...
For those who are subbing Cinnamon Danish Swirl (cap) which percent are you using?
You can use the same percentage or even bump it up to 0.5%. Don't go much higher though or the cinnamon will start to knock down the apple note.
Thanks for posting this up. I was taking a gander at your site and was thinking about ordering some concentrates. I was just wondering if your concentrates are VG or PG based. I didn't see that listed on the descriptions of the concentrates. Thanks.
Is this real life?! I got the concentrate from the Joy group buy and have been trying to nail down a clone so I could recreate it. Now there's no need to! Might have to throw you some money for other concentrates just for sharing this recipe! Thanks /u/botboy141
Apple Pie is one of my favorite vapes. I can't begin to count how many sub par apple pie recipes I've come up with. Each apple pie flavor on it's own seems to be missing something. I was just getting to the point where I was going to try TFA and FA combined. Maybe this is finally the one. Thanks for sharing this.
I really hate cinamon, think this would still be okay without it? Lol
I used to make it without it. Can definitely skip it, just not identical.
So I said fuck it maybe I'll try FLV rich cin.... couldn't find it, and when I did... wtf? $12.49 for a 15ml bottle? The hell? I think not.
Also you can use the coupon code "ELRECIPES" for %20 off. Which makes it 9.99 for 15ml of it. Also if you ask in the comments to try lemon and yogurt (Their 2 new flavors); they will throw them in the order. So you can get 3 flavors for 10 bucks plus shipping.
I made something very similar to this the other day. It is getting better everyday. It almost reminds me of Apple Crack. I need more pastry flavor though to really round this thing off.
Apple Pie (TFA) 7.75%
Fuji Apple (FA) 1%
Liquid Amber (FA) 0.33%
Caramel (TFA) 0.50%
Apple (TFA) 1%
Cookie (FA) 0.75%
Pear (FA) 0.50%
Vanilla Swirl (TFA) 1%
Cinnamon Ceylon (FA) 0.25%
What about GGG apple pie? Does it have cinnamon? That would be enough for me.
GGG Apple Pie is the first recipe.
Been toying with some rich cinnamon and read through your post hoping to see it. Had to wait till the end but was not disappointed!
Almost forgot, is the first one Cinnamon Flavor or Cinnamon Spice? :P
hi what does Liquid Amber bring to the flavour profile? and is it needed?
It brings the bakedness to the apples. Can mix without, just won't be the same.
thanks just noticed a uk vendor is stocking flavorah might have to grab a few of them been wanting to try them.. and thanks for the recipe
Can't wait to give this a go once my order comes in for Rich Cinnamon. Do you recommend a steep time for this? so I can note it in my juice calculator
That FLV cinnamon is like 13 dollars. Kill me now! I don't even like cinnamon, can I just leave it out? Please?
Or order it and request the samples of the new flavors and you'll get 3 flavors for the price of the one.
Lemonade and Yogurt are the two new ones being offered as free samples.
So here I am a week or so later, 100's of miles from home for a sad occassion. Sitting in the courtyard of hotel with awesome v2 loaded in a dripper. My advice botboy - revise to v2 or offer as another flavor like grammas apple pie or something. Og is too much like redhots with tfa cinnamon to be true apple pie. V2 is Damn good. On mobile, half drunk trying not to sound like I a dick but trying to offer an honest opinion from an apple pie lover!
I mixed up the "improved" version above. After a 4hr UC bath and 2 day steep, the cinnamon was overpowering, not good. Now, after 14 days, the cinnamon is a bit more subdued, but still the primary note. I used 0.3%, and mixed by weight.
I'm a new DIY mixer, but was very careful, and shook all the flavor bottles. I see the "V2" recipe uses even more cinnamon... Not sure where I went wrong, or what to try next.
I've been slowly getting every flavor needed to make this recipe, but I just realized I never grabbed tfa apple pie 😢 Botboy should I just up the Fa apple pie? Thanks for this man seriously. Youdabex!
A bit late to the game here but i love apple pie and havent had a good vape that replicates it well enough, so i just placed an order for all of these flavors and will be mixing some up. Thank you for being so generous and sharing your work with everyone!
Hey first of all thinks for the recipes. Secondly, I have noticed the flavor base % don't seem right. For example .5% and .3% flavors calling for an equal, increased percent than 1% flavors in the base. Is it the flavor base percentage that is right and the juice percentage that is off or vice versa?
I developed the recipe before I used flavor bases. Eventually I convert to a flavor base and develop ideal percentages and am too lazy to reverse it back out for percentages if I've already converted in my calculator.
So basically, it will work just fine either way, but I may have bumped up percentages a litte for production.
