FATKIDZ: A griddled fluffernutter for all the PB lovers out there.
submitted about 10 years ago by _Dotty_

If anyone is familiar with Praxis Potions, they dropped a new flavor a month or so ago called Amber. Their description of it goes as follows: > Praxis Amber is made by Praxis Vapors’ master juice chefs. This juice is tantalizingly complex. To make Amber, Praxis mixologists took their time to figure out the perfect cookie. This juice starts with strong notes of vanilla creme. In the middle, there is a distinct but not overpowering layer of peanut butter. Finally, the ending exhale is a light pastry.

Now when I first tried this juice, I instantly was wowed by how much flavor it had. Also how the peanut butter wasn't super dry and more creamy than it was nutty. I love peanut butter vapes so I knew I was going to vape a lot of it. Since I started DIY a few weeks ago, this is one of my go to easy recipes that I don't have to think too much about making or if I want something super flavorful. It's not very tricky either but very tasty.

  • TFA Peanut Butter - 5%
  • TFA Marshmallow - 3%
  • TFA Vanilla Swirl - 3%
  • FW Hazelnut - 2%
  • FA Caramel - 1%
  • INW Biscuit - 0.5%

Mixed at MAX VG at 3mg/mL of nicotine in a 100% PG base.

Now, the TFA Peanut Butter is the main star here but by itself it's too dry and too nutty. More like a natural crunchy peanut butter and we know for a fluffernutter, you need that fake shit. Skippy is super smooth and super sweet for peanut butter. This is where the FW Hazelnut comes in, it tones down the dryness and nuttiness a little bit and smooths out that peanut butter note. The FA Caramel also boosts the sweetness without being overly fake. It also helps with that "grilled" aspect for the bread note we're going to bring out. The TFA Marshmallow comes in after you get the peanut butter hit, think mid to end of the exhale. It's a little flat by it's own and gets it's flavor boost from the TFA Vanilla Swirl. The Vanilla Swirl also helps bring a good balance between the peanut butter and marshmallow. The final ingredient is INW Biscuit. It gives that sweet, bready note that is definitely in Amber but also serves as a base for the fillings. Think of it more like a brioche bread for our sandwich.

That's it. It's great as a shake and vape but even better if you give it a few days to blend. I haven't tried subbing out any of the ingredients but a lot of these are pretty common if you're already doing DIY.

Anyone who loves Amber will definitely love this.

EDIT: I messed around with the recipe a little to try and bring out more of the marshmallow. When I added 4% TFA Marshmallow, the whole flavor profile got muted a little bit. I'd stick with the original recipe since it pops so well.

Ayeee, this shit aint bad. That thought to use FW Hazelnut and Marshmallow was a good idea. Nice recipe man, I'm vaping this now with a brisky IPA and enjoying some life. Thank you.

I swear I use FW Hazelnut in most of my dessert mixes. It just brings such a balance to everything with just a tad of nuttiness in the background. It's such a great flavor enhancer.

I wish I could join you man. Cheers, mate.

Perfect timing, I just started looking for PB recipes and this sounds delicious. Even better, I actually have all the ingredients, thanks for sharing!

I'm honestly shocked how good it is. It gets so much better with a little steeping too.

You're welcome. I'm going to make a really big batch of this later tonight and bottle it up so I'll have juice for weeks.

It's honestly that good.

Any good replacement for Biscuit? See it everywhere and haven't found it in stock. Just blew all my money on other flavors too.

Apparently FA Cookie is the closest to INW Biscuit but it seems like Biscuit is a lot more buttery and it's also HELLA strong. You might have to bump the FA Cookie to 1% or 2% depending on your tastes. I just know that 1% of INW Biscuit gets a little strong.

They both play a great part of forming crunchy/crispy flavours. Meringue should also be given a look...

I might throw that in in a later batch but for right now I'm pretty pumped.

This looks really good. I make a PB & Banana recipe that is similar with 4% LA Banana Cream.

I considered throwing some of TFA Banana Cream in it, but I was really just looking to get something close to Amber. I'm pretty sure I'm right on the mark.

I've found TFA Banana Cream to be really weak, or at least, not great at standing up to TFA Peanut Butter.

Have everything but the biscuit. RATS.

FA Cookie could work. I haven't played around with the Inawera-less recipe since I have 30 mLs of Biscuit but I'm pretty sure Biscuit is necessary in this recipe.

Sounds damn good. I'm gonna have to use CAP marshmallow though.

by _Dotty_about 10 years ago

TFA Marshmallow is the only one I have. CAP would probably work just as well. Let me know if it's solid. I might have to try that. I'm going to keep this flavor in solid rotation.

Cap is a lot different, wouldn't recommend

My favorite Vape is a Fluffernutter. Happy to see this recipe. Thanks!

I only have FLV Peanut Butter, can anyone suggest a percentage to use it at? I have no experience with it (actually still waiting for it to arrive).

1 points

by TurbidContentionabout 10 years ago

Start with about 1-2% in my opinion

1 points

by JohnLaCuentaabout 10 years ago

Yeah I was thinking 2%. Will go with that, thanks.

I have no idea how FLV Peanut Butter is but TFA's is pretty strong. You might want to start at 3% and work your way up.

Have everything but that peanut butter! I'll have to order some this looks tasty. Saving for use within 3-5 shipping days, thank you for this.

"Since I started DIY a few weeks ago"

...I've been mixing for about half a year, and in just a few weeks you've surpassed my skill level haha

by _Dotty_about 10 years ago

I have to admit, I had some really good mentors. The guy who taught me how to mix has been making juice for 3 years and is the co-owner of 3 B&M's with his own juice line. Other than that, this was all dumb luck.

This is damn delicious. Better than every single recipe in the peanut butter flavor of the week hands down.

by _Dotty_about 10 years ago

Thanks man. I just made up a big batch of it last night so I'll be vaping on this for a while.

I'm working on some new ones this week. Last night I mainly made my go to recipes for the next two weeks. I made this guy and my jawbreaker, which is stupid simple.

FW Watermelon - 15%

Shake. Vape. Done.

Wow. Very delicious! I didn't have the INW Biscuit(since it's very hard to find in stock), so I added a couple drops of CAP Sugar Cookie for the bready note. Still amazing. Thanks for this!

+1 on this shit. It's awesome. I added 1 drop per 10 ml of INW Peanuts.

I only waited 24 hours before trying. Made 30ml, which will be gone by tonight. This is moving to a 120ml batch next time.

Thank you!

always heard it called a nutterflutter

I always called it fluffernutter in my house. We rarely ate them because my mom refused to buy fluff but my best friend's mom always used to make them when I came over. It's probably why I love the combo of PB and marshmallow. Maybe it's just that the combo is amazing in general.

I grew up with it being a fluffernutter as well. Now I'm in the mood for one. :(

My mom always refused too. Said it fucked up all her dishes... :/

Why do we all have that friend that their mom would be the cool mom? Makes me wonder what else I missed out on...

I don't know. I wish I could tell you. All I know is that I am definitely not going to be the cool dad with my kids friends. They'll probably think I'm weird as fuck.
